{"id":5476,"date":"2007-08-07T13:17:36","date_gmt":"2007-08-07T13:17:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/2007\/08\/07\/atasi-lumpur-kenalkan-metode-balance-energy\/"},"modified":"2007-08-07T13:17:36","modified_gmt":"2007-08-07T13:17:36","slug":"atasi-lumpur-kenalkan-metode-balance-energy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/atasi-lumpur-kenalkan-metode-balance-energy\/","title":{"rendered":"Atasi Lumpur, Kenalkan Metode Balance Energy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Keunggulan teknologi yang sederhana dan biaya murah tersebut karena metode ini hanya memanfaatkan kekuatan atau energi yang ada pada pusat semburan lumpur untuk membantu mendorong aliran lumpur yang akan dibuang. Sedangkan peralatan yang dibutuhkan untuk mengalirkan lumpur ke lokasi pembuangan hanya berupa pipa baja sepanjang 4.000 meter atau 4 kilometer dengan diameter sekitar 42 inchi. <\/p>\n<p>Penggunaan pipa baja untuk mengalirkan lumpur, menurut Made, dilakukan karena mampu membantu mempertahankan ketinggian suhu lebih lama. Sehingga suhu pada pusat semburan lumpur yang diperkirakan mencapai 120 derajat Celcius, hanya akan turun suhunya sekitar 1,5 derajat Celcius tiap mengalir sepanjang 1,5 Kilometer. Degan kondisi suhu yang masih tinggi tersebut, berarti kepadatan lumpur bisa ditekan dan aliran bisa mencapai lokasi pembuangan dengan lancar. <\/p>\n<p>Pembuangan aliran lumpur ini diusulkan ke area tambak atau <em>wet land <\/em>seluas 4.500 hektar yang berada di sebelah timur pusat semburan. \u201dSaat ini, dari area <em>wet land<\/em> tersebut sekitar 10 hektarnya masih merupakan hunian, sedang sisanya lahan tambak. Jadi harus dipikirkan juga nantinya untuk memindahkan penghuni yang ada,\u201d jelas Prof Dr Ir I Made Arya Djoni MSc, salah satu anggota tim di ruang LPPM ITS, Senin (6\/8).<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Made, pihaknya sengaja tidak mengusulkan pembuangan itu ke laut antara lain karena khawatir pasang surut air laut akan berpengaruh pada aliran pembuangan.&nbsp; Selain itu, diperkirakan kekuatan dorongan aliran tidak bisa sampai menuju laut.<\/p>\n<p>Energi dari pusat semburan, imbuh Made, akan digunakan untuk mendorong lumpur masuk ke dalam pipa yang dipasang tepat di pusat semburan. Pipa ini akan ditanam satu meter di bawah permukaan tanggul kolam penampungan (<em>pond<\/em>). Setelah berhasil masuk ke dalam pipa, selanjutnya air lumpur ini akan dengan sendirinya mengalir megikuti kelandaian tanggul yang ada hingga akhirnya menuju ke <em>wet land<\/em>. \u201dJadi kita tidak perlu lagi menggunakan pompa untuk mendorong aliran lumpur itu, karena dengan sendirinya akan mengikuti gravitasi bumi ke tempat yang lebih rendah,\u201d paparnya lagi.<\/p>\n<p>Penampungan aliran lumpur di <em>wet land<\/em> ini diperkirakan bisa bertahan hingga 10-15 tahun mendatang. Selanjutya harus dipikirkan lagi lokasi pembuangan lainnya. <\/p>\n<p>Metode ini memang hampir mirip dengan yang dikenalkan tim dari Jepang kepada tim Badan Penanggulangan Lumpur Sidoarjo (BPLS) belum lama ini. Hanya saja, metode dari Jepang tersebut masih harus menggunakan pompa untuk mendorong air yang mengalirkan lumpur ke lokasi pembuangan. Sehingga dibutuhkan biaya lebih tinggi, yakni diperkirakan Rp 3,5 miliar per hari. <\/p>\n<p>Rencananya, metode baru temuan LPPM-ITS ini akan segera dipresentasikan juga ke hadapan tim BPLS. \u201dBesok (hari ini, Red), saya akan mengajukan surat ke BPLS untuk meminta izin melakukan presentasi dan juga meminta data lapangan yang kami butuhkan lebih lanjut,\u201d kata Prof Ir I Nyoman Sutantra MSc PhD, anggota tim lainnya yang juga ketua LPPM-ITS, kemarin (6\/8).<\/p>\n<p>Tim yang dikoordinasi oleh Dr Tantowi Ismail ini terdiri dari tujuh anggota. Tim ini akan terus melakukan kajian lebih lanjut untuk menyempurnakan metode baru tersebut.
