Dihelat selama dua hari mulai Selasa (1\/12), seminar ini mengangkat berbagai topik mulai dari Teknologi Fiber Optic Laser Beam Shaping hingga Material Soft-Matter untuk Konversi Energi Surya.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Agus Muhamad Hatta ST MSi PhD, Ketua ISPhOA 2020 mengatakan, seminar ini merupakan rangkaian seminar ilmiah dua tahunan setelah sebelumnya pada 2014, 2016, dan 2018. Forum ilmiah ini didedikasikan sebagai wadah diskusi serta berbagi keahlian yang ideal. Selain itu, forum ini juga diharapkan menjadi jembatan jaringan antara perguruan tinggi, Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kementerian Dalam Negeri RI, industri, serta pemerintah. \u201cTujuan utama kami (panitia ISPhOA 2020, red) adalah mendorong transfer penelitian agar dapat diaplikasikan untuk seluruh wilayah Indonesia,\u201d tutur dosen Departemen Teknik Fisika ITS ini.<\/p>\n<p>Mengamini Agus, Rektor ITS Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng menjelaskan, seminar ini juga merupakan program untuk meningkatkan keterikatan ITS dengan dunia internasional. Mulai dari kesehatan, diagnosa penyakit, manufakur, media hiburan, energi hingga keamanan nasional, semua tidak terlepas dari teknologi ini. \u201cTeknologi ini memberi banyak solusi serta terbukti meningkatkan kualitas hidup manusia,\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n<p>Emil mencontohkan, dalam hal kesehatan, dengan teknologi ini pasien dapat berkonsultasi dengan dokter tanpa harus bertatap muka (telemedicine). Sebab, provinsi ini memiliki populasi penduduk mencapai 40 juta jiwa, serta merupakan wilayah dengan tingkat ekonomi tertinggi kedua di Indonesia. \u201cDengan demikian, Jawa Timur akan mampu memberikan respon yang baik untuk penggunaan teknologi-teknologi baru,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Selain menjadi pasar, lanjut Emil, respon-respon lain yang dapat diberikan Jawa Timur yakni seperti adanya diskusi mengenai cara untuk menjual teknologi, cara untuk memasukkan ke dalam industri manufaktur, serta pandangan-pandangan lain untuk pengembangan teknologi ini. \u201cAdanya generasi muda yang sangat mudah beradaptasi dengan teknologi menjadi salah satu faktor di antaranya,\u201d tutupnya.
