Kehandalan dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan sejak tahun 2018 itu pun dibahas dalam <em>Focus Group Discussion<\/em> (FGD) secara daring, Kamis (26\/11).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Seperti diketahui, tingginya curah hujan di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia memicu terjadinya genangan air pada landas pacu atau runway di bandara, sehingga mengancam keselamatan pesawat yang akan mendarat. Karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendukung pengembangan peralatan keselamatan penerbangan tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Ketua Peneliti SWD, Dr Melania Suweni Muntini MT, menjelaskan bahwa persoalan utama dalam penerbangan ialah pilot pesawat terbang sering tidak mendapatkan informasi secara <em>real-time<\/em> mengenai genangan air (<em>standing water<\/em>) yang ada pada landasan pacu. \u201cDengan alat ini, kita akan mendapatkan informasi mengenai ketinggian standing water yang ada pada landasan pacu, sehingga informasinya bisa digunakan untuk berbagai keperluan,\u201d terangnya.<\/p>\n<p>Selama enam bulan ke depan, lanjut dosen yang akrab disapa Melani kini, pengembangan yang telah dimulai sejak tahun 2018 ini difokuskan pada uji kehandalan dari SWD dengan pengujian yang dilaksanakan secara langsung di Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). Kalau di lab kita bisa mengalibrasi secara langsung setelah diakuisisi data,\u201d tutur Melani.<\/p>\n<p>Alat ini memiliki dua sistem deteksi yaitu hardware dan software. Untuk <em>software<\/em>, data-data seperti profil <em>runway<\/em> berupa kekasaran serta kemiringan <em>runway<\/em>. Hardware sendiri akan bisa mendeteksi temperatur dan kelembaban udara. \u201cUntuk metode deteksi standing water ini kita mengacu pada Peraturan Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Udara No. KP 39 Tahun 2015 dan Annex 14, Aerodrome,\u201d terang dosen Departemen Fisika ITS ini.<\/p>\n<p>Pada pengoperasiannya, purwarupa SWD akan diletakkan di samping landas pacu pada area <em>touchdown<\/em>. Saat hujan, aliran air dari landasan pacu akan menyentuh sensor pada purwarupa yang kemudian aliran ini akan dikonversikan menjadi data digital. Selanjutnya digabungkan dengan data sekunder seperti profil landasan pacu, akan memberikan output berupa ketinggian standing water. Pengingat akan menyala saat 25 persen alat menunjukkan bahwa ketinggian telah sama atau lebih dari 3 milimeter.<\/p>\n<p>Tahap uji kehandalan kali ini, diselingi dengan sertifikasi dari SWD ini sendiri. Sertifikasi akan memerlukan prosedur dan turut serta dari berbagai pihak dalam bidang penerbangan. Kepala Kantor Otoritas Bandar Udara Wilayah I Kelas Utama, Ir Mohammad Alwi MM mengungkapkan, semakin tidak pastinya curah hujan, alat ini sangat cocok diterapkan di Indonesia. \u201cJika alat ini sudah disertifikasi, kita tidak perlu ragu lagi untuk menggunakan alat ini,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Respon positif didapat dari berbagai pihak yang berkecimpung dalam dunia penerbangan. General Manager AirNav Cabang Surabaya, MT Nurhuda menyampaikan, mengkomunikasikan kepada pilot yang akan melakukan pendaratan secara langsung mengenai standing water ini merupakan hal yang krusial agar pilot dapat membuat keputusan yang tepat dalam pendaratan. \u201cIni tentu bisa mengurangi waktu pesawat untuk holding di udara, dan juga mengurangi tekanan pada <em>air traffic controller<\/em>,\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n<p>Nurhuda pun mengharapkan, purwarupa bisa diterapkan di Bandara Juanda, Surabaya dan bandara lainnya di Indonesia. Mengingat iklim dan hujan sudah mulai sulit untuk diprediksi, bahkan di Surabaya sendiri. \u201cDi Juanda pun sering ada <em>standing water<\/em>.
