Kali ini, tim robot bawah air Banyubramanta ITS sukses menjadi jawara pada ajang Technogine 2020 kategori ROUV (Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle) yang diselenggarakan Telkom University dan diumumkan secara daring, Sabtu (21\/11) lalu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dengan mengusung robot bawah air pendeteksi ranjau laut bernama Wikraluga, tim Banyubramanta ITS berhasil meraih juara pertama pada subtema Technology, Human, Environment. Lomba ini secara keseluruhan digelar secara daring.<\/p>\n<p>Reza Maliki Akbar AMd ST, Koordinator Tim Banyubramanta ITS, menjelaskan bahwa Wikraluga adalah robot bawah air yang digunakan untuk mendeteksi serta membersihkan lautan dari keberadaan ranjau apung. Ranjau tersebut merupakan bekas dari peperangan yang terjadi di perairan Indonesia pada masa lampau. \u201cKeberadaan ranjau ini berbahaya bagi perairan Indonesia karena dapat mengancam biota laut, para nelayan, hingga kapal kargo dan penumpang,\u201d tutur pemuda yang kerap disapa Maliki ini.<\/p>\n<p>Keberadaan ranjau apung, lanjut laki-laki kelahiran 1995 ini, tersebar di laut wilayah Pulau Sumatera, Kepulauan Riau, Kalimantan, dan paling banyak terdapat pada laut di wilayah Pulau Jawa. Apabila objek benar berupa ranjau, maka <em>inductive proximity sensor<\/em> akan bekerja untuk mendeteksi keberadaan detonator atau komponen yang dapat menyebabkan ledakan. \u201cDetonator akan dicabut dengan <em>gripper,<\/em> kemudian rantai ranjau apung dipotong dan ranjau digiring oleh robot ke tepi pantai,\u201d paparnya.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Maliki, tepi pantai merupakan lokasi yang tepat untuk meledakkan ranjau. Alasan tersebut didasari karena pasir pantai dapat meredam ledakan dari ranjau. \u201cTidak di sembarang tepian, lokasi peledakan sendiri akan memilih di mana tidak ramai keberadaan orang,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Maliki mengaku bahwa robot Wikraluga ini merupakan terobosan yang tepat, mengingat di Indonesia sendiri masih menggunakan cara manual untuk mendeteksi ranjau di lautan. Cara tersebut antara lain dengan menggunakan kapal dan manusia untuk menjinakkan ranjau secara langsung. Pengembangannya akan diteruskan hingga menjadi AUV (<em>Autonomous Underwater Vehicle<\/em>) yang dilengkapi dengan <em>image processing<\/em> serta <em>database <\/em>karakteristik dari semua tipe ranjau yang ada di lautan Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui pencapaian pada ajang tersebut, Tim Banyubramanta ITS berharap momen ini dapat menjadi batu loncatan untuk dapat lebih menorehkan pencapaian di ajang-ajang selanjutnya.
