Berangkat dari hal tersebut, tiga mahasiswa dari Departemen Teknik Mesin dan Departemen Teknik Sistem dan Industri, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) merancang <em>smart charging station<\/em> sebagai suplai energi listrik yang ramah lingkungan.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ketiganya adalah Puguh Pambudi, Valiant Tirta Amarta, dan Pebiria Vorenza yang tergabung dalam sebuah tim bernama Ancharg. Menurut Puguh, Ketua tim Ancharg, inovasi ini diangkat dari banyaknya kebutuhan <em>charging station<\/em> saat ini, namun <em>charging station<\/em> yang ada masih bersumber pada Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). \u201cSedang 55 persen sumber listrik PLN berasal dari batu bara,\u201d ungkap Puguh.<\/p>\n<p>Oleh karenanya, lanjut Puguh, <em>charging station<\/em> yang ada memerlukan inovasi pembaruan yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Sehingga mereka melihat kondisi eksisting mana yang memiliki potensi untuk dijadikan bahan. \u201cKami akhirnya memilih energi matahari, untuk nantinya kami jadikan <em>charging station<\/em> bertenaga panel surya,\u201d ujar mahasiswa asal Tuban ini.<\/p>\n<p>Dijelaskannya, pemilihan energi matahari ini didasarkan oleh Indonesia yang merupakan negara agraris dengan radiasi matahari cukup, sekitar 1.800 kWh\/m2\/tahun. Yakni biomassa dari limbah pertanian yang nantinya digunakan <em>generator<\/em> dual <em>fuel<\/em> untuk menyuplai listrik <em>charging station<\/em>. \u201cSebab limbah pertanian di sejumlah daerah di Jawa Timur cukup melimpah,\u201d ucapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, Puguh menambahkan bahwa terdapat sekitar kurang lebih 100 juta ton limbah pertanian yang dihasilkan Indonesia setiap tahunnya. Smart charging station rancangan tim Ancharg ITS ini telah berhasil meraih juara ketiga pada Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah EBOTEC.10, Oktober lalu. Pada kompetisi yang digelar oleh HMIE Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) ini, tim Ancharg berhasil mengungguli enam finalis lainnya dari perguruan tinggi nasional.<\/p>\n<p>Ke depannya, tim bimbingan dosen Teknik Mesin ITS Alief Wikarta ST MSc Eng PhD ini berharap, rancangan mereka tidak sekadar tuntas di perlombaan dan sekadar inovasi desain 3D.
