Kali ini, inovasi hadir dari lima mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) yang membuat gagasan inovasi teknologi sensor bawah laut yang diaplikasikan pada perairan perbatasan Indonesia.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mereka adalah Wildan Muhammad Mursyid (Teknik Material 2017), Ghifari Hanif Mustofa (Teknik Mesin 2017), Ahmad Fahmi Prakoso (Teknik Material 2018), Edo Danilyan (Biologi 2018), dan Aldiansyah Wahfiudin (Teknik Material 2018). Bekerja sama dalam satu tim, mereka menggagas inovasi yang bernama <em>Humanless Underwater Sensors Technology<\/em> (HUST).<\/p>\n<p>Wildan Muhammad Mursyid, ketua tim tersebut mengatakan bahwa HUST merupakan inovasi teknologi sensor bawah laut yang diaplikasikan di daerah perairan perbatasan Indonesia. Alat ini berfungsi untuk mendeteksi masuknya kapal tanpa izin resmi ke perairan Indonesia atau kapal yang dicurigai melakukan <em>illegal fishing<\/em>. \u201cSelain itu, HUST juga dapat digunakan untuk mendeteksi bencana laut seperti gempa laut dan tsunami,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Wildan menjelaskan, ide tersebut muncul karena beberapa sebab. Salah satunya adalah banyaknya kasus <em>illegal fishing<\/em> yang terjadi di perairan Indonesia. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan Indonesia mengalami kerugian di bidang ekonomi. Indonesia hanya memiliki sensor deteksi (<em>seismic network<\/em>) yang hanya diletakkan di daerah daratan. Oleh karena itu, HUST diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana dalam peletakan sensor deteksi (<em>seismic network<\/em>) di wilayah perairan, sehingga dapat meningkatkan akurasi sistem deteksi yang sudah ada.<\/p>\n<p>Mahasiswa asal Klaten ini mengungkapkan, HUST bekerja menggunakan beberapa mekanisme sensor. Di antaranya adalah sensor gempa untuk mendeteksi getaran dasar laut, sensor logam untuk mendeteksi kapal yang mendekat, dan sensor ID untuk mendeteksi Transmitter ID yang sudah memiliki izin penangkapan ikan di wilayah perbatasan. \u201cKetiga sensor tersebut memiliki peran masing-masing dalam penggunaanya,\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n<p>Mahasiswa angkatan 2017 ini memaparkan bahwa dalam penggunaannya HUST dapat mendeteksi empat kondisi. Di antaranya adalah kondisi normal, terdeteksi getaran, terdeteksi kapal berizin, dan terdeteksi kapal ilegal. Data yang diperoleh oleh HUST akan dikirimkan ke posko pemantauan melalui <em>transmitter signal<\/em>. Selanjutnya, data tersebut diolah dan divalidasi menggunakan citra satelit pada daerah koordinat deteksi.<\/p>\n<p>Alumnus SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo ini melanjutkan, posko ini akan menindaklanjuti data yang tervalidasi oleh deteksi getaran dan deteksi kapal ilegal. Posko tersebut mengirimkan personel untuk menindak tegas kapal yang memasuki perairan Indonesia tanpa izin resmi. Dalam perlombaan yang berlangsung selama lima hari tersebut, Wildan bersama timnya mendapatkan <em>gold medal<\/em> dalam kompetisi yang diselenggarakan oleh Indonesian Youth Scientist Association (IYSA) dan SEGI College Subang Jaya Malaysia. Tidak hanya itu, mereka juga meraih <em>special award<\/em> dari Malaysia Innovation, Invention, &amp; Creativity Association (MIICA).<\/p>\n<p>Wildan berharap inovasi ini dapat menjadi rekomendasi teknologi untuk pemerintah dalam menanggulangi permasalahan <em>illegal fishing<\/em>.
