Islam Spiritual Program 1, student managerial training based on basic Islamic values conducted on Sunday (27\/10), at the Manarul Ilmi Mosque<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014 <\/b><\/span>Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) focused not only on the improvement of achievements by its human resources, but also paid attention to the development of Islam. Through the first Islam Spiritual Program, ITS provided a media for its students to gain more insight about Islam. Adopted the theme of Mosque as the Center for Science and Unity of Islam People, this training was held at the ITS Manarul Ilmi Mosque (JMMI) on Sunday (27\/10).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to Muhammad Rafdillah, Training Coordinator of the Islam Spiritual Program 1, participants of the program were more educated in order to heighten their love and appreciation of mosques. He continued that by loving the mosque, participants are known to be actively involved in worshipping and prospering the mosque. “The main action to be done when loving the mosque is to follow the congregational prayers,” he revealed.<\/p>\n

The mosque is undoubtedly the best place to prepare reliable human resources. This was stated due to the fact that in addition to the function of mosques as places of worship, mosques are also used to spread religious knowledge. Through this spread of religious knowledge, Muslim civilization is improved. “This value is important to instill in the participants,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

On top of that, this student, who is familiarly called Rafdil, mentioned that participants were also educated to be wiser in responding to the war of thought that occurred recently. The reason was that many often misinterpret Islamic teachings, which have a huge influence on their actions. “In this training, we equipped the participants with the correct understanding of Islam,” explained this student of the ITS Marine Engineering Department.<\/p>\n

In the previous Islam Spiritual Program 1, he added that participants were also encouraged to become outstanding figures so that they can be beneficial for the community. Participants were able to deepen their insights about prayer and improve the memorization of the Quran and hadith. “We also targeted participants to be able to understand the meaning and stages of Ukhuwah Islamiyah,” he informed enthusiastically.<\/p>\n

This Chairman of JMMI hoped that Islam Spiritual Program activities, especially ISP 1, will continue to improve with a more mature concept. This is due to the fact that ISP 1 is a forum for Muslim students to equip themselves with Islamic knowledge. “In the future, I hope this training will not be out of date and will be open to students of other campuses,” he concluded.
