Some potential areas for investment in NTB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

ITS Campus, ITS News<\/strong> \u2013 ITS is expected to be the piooneer of East Indonesia’s development. This is what drives West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) to open ITS widest opportunities for ITS alumni to invest in building local potentials in NTB.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The deputy governor of NTB Province, Dr Ir Hj Sitti Rohmi Djalilah MPd, revealed that there are several areas that can be developed in the near term in NTB. The first field is the industrial field. According to him, NTB has many local processed products of international quality. “Here needs the cooperation of ITS alumni to help our Community market the product better yet,” she said in discussion sessions, opportunities, and investment challenge in NTB for ITS Alumni last Friday.<\/p>\n

In addition, the potential that is considered superior is the tourism sector. The reason is that NTB wants to develop sustainable tourism and the accompaniment of natural sustainability. Now, the tourism village program is also trying to be encouraged so that all the villages race to promote the region. “It is now positively responded by the community with the start of popping the tourist village here,” added this woman born in Mataram.<\/p>\n

Not wanting to leave the cleanliness of the environment, NTB is fighting for the provincial title clean from garbage or zero waste. The goal is to attract investors to invest in NTB. “Not only environmental hygiene, but we also continue to instill to the community that health is a top priority,” explained the alumni of ITS Department of Chemical Engineering.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, according to the head of the one door integrated capital investment and Licensing Department (DPMPTSP) NTB, Ir Muhammad Rum MT, there are several obstacles and challenges of the current investment problems in NTB. Among them, many companies are not in order to report the Investment Activity Report (LKPM) as well as a Covid-19 pandemic that makes investors impressed to wait for more secure conditions.<\/p>\n

He added that there are actually many areas of potential to be developed in NTB. Some of these areas such as Mandalika Special Economic Area, Mount Rinjani Geopark, West Sumbawa Industrial area, and Samota area. “Even next year we plan on MotoGP Mandalika can already be implemented,” said the alumni of ITS Department of Civil Engineering.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Dr. Agnes Tuti Rumiati MSc, the head of ITS Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Review Center, reveals that ITS very keen to help NTB excite the existing investment climate. “We can help in some matters of spatial, environment, and things that are not considered by investors,” she explained.<\/p>\n

ITS will strive to make some investments more concerned about environmental sustainability. Later, locally processed products will also be developed through product tests that will be assisted by experts from ITS. “So we open the door widest for investment but do not forget the local potential so beneficial for the community,” said this Department of Statistics alumni.<\/p>\n

Currently, ITS has also made a study on several potential tourism existing in NTB to be managed well by local communities. ITS also offers assistance to rearrange several areas of NTB to better have tourist attraction later. “Hopefully we can coordinate well together,” he concluded.
