Terkait hal tersebut, dosen Departemen Teknik Informatika Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) merancang metode penempatan sensor untuk mendeteksi kebocoran pipa air menggunakan teknik Lean Graph agar bisa meminimalisir kerugian.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ialah Ary Mazharuddin Shiddiqi PhD, dosen yang juga menjabat Sekretaris Departemen bidang Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan Departemen Teknik Informatika, yang melihat bahwa kecilnya curah hujan di Australia (tempat ia menempuh studi doktornya dahulu) membawa imbas kepada terbatasnya persediaan air bersih. \u201cOleh karena itu, kebocoran dalam pipa air adalah hal yang harus ditangani dengan serius,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Ary melanjutkan, pada umumnya ada dua jenis kebocoran pada pipa air yakni kebocoran besar atau semburan (burst) dan kebocoran kecil. Dalam kebocoran besar, air akan terbuang dalam volume yang besar di waktu yang singkat. \u201cNamun kebocoran besar umumnya kasat mata, sehingga mudah dicari dan ditangani dengan cepat,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Berlawanan dengan kebocoran besar, kebocoran kecil biasanya berlangsung dalam kurun waktu yang lama di dalam pipa bawah tanah karena sulit mendeteksi lokasinya. \u201cTotal air yang terbuang dari kebocoran kecil jauh lebih banyak jika dibandingkan dengan kebocoran besar, karena volume air bocor terakumulasi dalam waktu yang lama,\u201d ungkap Ary.<\/p>\n<p>Oleh karena itu, jelasnya, untuk meminimalisasi kerugian yang disebabkan adanya kebocoran kecil pada jaringan pipa air digunakanlah sensor arus air untuk memprediksi ukuran kebocoran dan melacak di mana letak titik kebocoran terjadi. Ary menggunakan sensor arus air karena dinilai lebih akurat jika dibandingkan dengan sensor tekanan air.<\/p>\n<p>Deteksi kebocoran menggunakan sensor arus air diambil dari hukum kesetimbangan air (water balance). Contoh, jika permintaan (demand) air dari rumah-rumah bertotal sebanyak 10 liter, namun sumber air (reservoir) mengeluarkan air sebanyak 11 liter maka selisih satu liter ini adalah jumlah yang hilang karena adanya kebocoran. \u201cJika demand tetap, tapi sensor memberi data adanya penambahan arus air yang masuk ke sistem, maka muncul gejala adanya kebocoran,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50815\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-50815\" style=\"width: 783px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-50815 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2020-07-08-at-09.53.48.jpeg\" alt=\"Senson Pipa Air ITS\" width=\"783\" height=\"556\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2020-07-08-at-09.53.48.jpeg 783w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2020-07-08-at-09.53.48-300x213.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2020-07-08-at-09.53.48-768x545.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2020-07-08-at-09.53.48-355x252.jpeg 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 783px) 100vw, 783px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-50815\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Contoh penempatan sensor pipa air yang dirancang dosen ITS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Penempatan sensor yang berjumlah amat banyak tentunya dapat membuat lokalisasi kebocoran kecil dengan mudah, namun para perancang sistem juga harus memperhatikan biaya yang dihabiskan. \u201cOleh karena itu kita harus memaksimalkan fungsi sensor dengan baik meskipun dengan jumlah yang terbatas,\u201d papar lelaki asal Kediri tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk memaksimalkan fungsi sensor itu pula, diperlukan strategi untuk menempatkan sensor di lokasi-lokasi yang efektif. Dalam penelitian yang ditekuninya sejak 2014 hingga 2019 sebagai topik tesis doktoralnya tersebut, Ary menggunakan pemodelan Lean Graph untuk mengkarakterisasi kebocoran kecil dalam pipa.<\/p>\n<p>Pria yang menyelesaikan studi doktornya di Australia ini membuktikan bahwa Lean Graph efektif untuk menemukan letak sensor paling strategis guna menemukan lokasi kebocoran pipa air. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan tingginya akurasi metode yang dibangun dalam eksperimen yang dilakukannya.<\/p>\n<p>Saat ini hasil temuan Ary berada dalam tahap simulasi melalui simulator EPANET yang dinilai sangat akurat dan populer digunakan para praktisi teknik sipil. Ke depannya, dosen yang juga merupakan lulusan Teknik Informatika ITS ini berharap agar penanganan kebocoran air lebih menjadi perhatian khusus. \u201cKarena air bersih adalah kebutuhan pokok,\u201d pungkas Ary mengingatkan.
