Salah satunya, berupa lampu ruang isolasi LED 405nm IUV yang berhasil dirancang oleh Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) bekerja sama dengan Rumah Sakit Universitas Airlangga (RSUA).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sesuai dengan namanya, lampu IUV tersebut bekerja dengan mengeluarkan sinar yang memiliki panjang gelombang sebesar 405 nanometer (nm) yang lebih aman bagi manusia. Sehingga dapat melakukan sterilisasi ruangan tanpa harus mengosongkan orang-orang yang berada di dalamnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dosen Departemen Fisika ITS, Endarko MSi PhD menjelaskan, jika lampu IUV ini dapat digunakan secara terus menerus hanya dengan memerlukan daya listrik sebesar 40 watt. \u201cLampu ini juga bisa bertahan sampai dengan 50 ribu jam,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, lanjut Endarko, lampu tersebut juga telah dimodifikasi dengan menyeimbangkan sinar yang dipancarkan. Endarko mengakui, awalnya sinar yang dipancarkan lampu tersebut berwarna violet, sehingga dapat membuat pusing jika dilihat. Namun dengan adanya modifikasi lampu penyeimbang, dapat menghasilkan sinar yang nyaman untuk penglihatan.<\/p>\n<p>Saat ini, menurut Endarko, ITS telah menciptakan sebanyak 15 unit lampu LED IUV yang rencananya akan langsung digunakan di selasar RSUA.
