Namun, penempatan objek penerima panas yang dewasa ini memiliki ukuran yang besar menimbulkan permasalahan tersendiri. Masalah ini menarik perhatian Asepta Surya Wardhana, mahasiswa doktoral Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Melalui disertasi dengan judul Pengembangan Sistem Kontrol Berbasis Artificial Intelligence untuk Konsentrator Panas Matahari dengan Dual Parabola Dish, Asepta berhasil menemukan solusi guna mengatasi <em>diffuse ray<\/em> yang dapat meningkatkan daya dan fluks panas sampai 62,49 persen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Diffuse ray<\/em> atau pembelokkan sinar ini bisa disebabkan karena material dan lingkungan. Beberapa material yang tidak mempunyai reflektivitas dapat menyebabkan konsentrasi panas kurang maksimal,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Pada penelitian ini, Asepta mengembangkan konsentrator panas matahari dengan dual parabola dish yang dapat meningkatkan rasio konsentrasi panas dan efisiensi optik. Berbeda dengan model konvensional, dual parabola dish mempunyai peningkatan daya sebesar 2,58 persen. Selain itu, dengan penerapan dual parabola dish ini, apabila terjadi pergeseran titik fokus, daya dan fluks panas akan tetap optimal dan tidak mengalami penurunan yang signifikan.<\/p>\n<p>Laki-laki kelahiran Malang ini menjelaskan, model yang ia tawarkan tersebut didesain menggunakan metode prinsip dari Gregorian antenna yang terdiri dari parabola pertama dan parabola kedua. Sinar yang terpantul dari parabola pertama akan ditangkap secara penuh dan diteruskan ke objek penerima panas yang berada di bawah parabola pertama.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntuk penempatan yang optimal, jarak fokus harus berada di -0,5 meter dari parabola pertama agar mempunyai distribusi fluks yang lebih merata dan daya yang lebih tinggi,\u201d tutur alumnus S2 Teknik Elektro ITS ini.<\/p>\n<p>Laki-laki berkacamata ini menambahkan, model ini dapat melakukan penjejakan sinar (ray tracing) dengan penerapan aplikasi lengan robot untuk memposisikan konsentrator. Optimasi posisi konsentrator ini menggunakan algoritma genetika dengan sistem kontrol fuzzy kaskade akan mengatasi permasalahan gerak model untuk mengoptimalkan temperatur guna mencapai energi listrik yang maksimal pada objek penerima panas.<\/p>\n<p>Lengan robot akan menggerakan parabola kedua sehingga dapat mengkonsentrasikan sinar untuk mendapatkan distribusi fluks yang merata di objek penerima panas. Konsentrator yang digunakan pada dual parabola dish ini dapat mengurangi dan mengatasi error sinar untuk sudut elevasi 15 hingga 60 derajat.<\/p>\n<p>Dosen Politeknik Energi dan Mineral Akamigas Cepu-Blora ini mengungkapkan, dalam penelitian ini masih terdapat banyak kekurangan. Beberapanya yaitu, bentuk kurva parabola yang belum optimal, reflektivitas material reflektor yang kurang, serta mekanis lengan robot yang memerlukan keakuratan yang tinggi. Kedepannya, Asepta berharap bahwa energi yang bisa dihasilkan dari model dual parabola dish ini akhirnya dapat digunakan di dunia industri.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKarena, kenyataannya energi fosil itu semakin lama semakin menipis. Sehingga, peralihan kepada energi yang lebih terbarukan dan ramah lingkungan itu sangat diperlukan. Saya harap kedepannya energi matahari ini akan digunakan lebih luas lagi di Indonesia,\u201d pungkasnya.
