Kampus ITS, ITS News –<\/strong> Serentak se-Indonesia, Lembaga Tes Masuk Perguruan Tinggi (LTMPT) secara resmi mengumumkan hasil Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN), Rabu (8\/4), pukul 13.00 WIB. Pada seleksi tanpa tes ini, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) telah meloloskan 1.022 pendaftar yang tersebar di berbagai departemen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Direktur Pendidikan ITS Dr Eng Siti Machmudah ST MEng menjelaskan bahwa berdasarkan data yang telah diperoleh, jumlah pendaftar SNMPTN di ITS mengalami penurunan dari tahun sebelumnya yang menerima sebanyak 1.223 pendaftar. Hal ini disebabkan karena LTMPT melakukan pengurangan kuota penerimaan mahasiswa baru jalur SNMPTN menjadi 20 persen. \u201cSebanyak 1.022 pendaftar yang telah diterima merupakan 20 persen dari total kuota penuh mahasiswa baru ITS tahun 2020 ini,\u201d terangnya.<\/p>\n

Adapun kuota 1.022 kursi di ITS tersebut telah diperebutkan oleh 13.850 pendaftar. Jumlah ini mengalami peningkatan daripada tahun sebelumnya yang hanya sebanyak 10.707 pendaftar.<\/p>\n

Menurut dosen Teknik Kimia ini, peningkatan yang signifikan tersebut terjadi karena adanya dukungan dari mahasiswa yang mempromosikan ITS di sekolahnya masing-masing. \u201cTerutama mahasiswa yang tergabung di kegiatan bernama Ini Lho ITS,\u201d imbuhnya.<\/p>\n

Sementara itu, mayoritas pendaftar SNMPTN di ITS masih berada di Provinsi Jawa Timur sebanyak 5.436 pendaftar. Adapun Departemen Teknik Informatika memiliki peminat terbanyak di tahun 2020 ini dengan 1.627 peminat dan yang diterima sebanyak 61 pendaftar. Sedangkan Departemen Teknik Mesin sendiri lebih memprioritaskan perempuan pada SNMPTN kali ini. \u201cBahkan, terdapat 24 dari 52 kuota yang sudah dipersiapkan untuk perempuan,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n

Machmudah juga menegaskan bahwa apabila siswa yang diterima melalui jalur SNMPTN di ITS tidak melakukan pendaftaran ulang atau mengundurkan diri, ITS tidak akan memberikan sanksi khusus berupa daftar hitam (blacklist) pada asal SMA siswa tersebut. Namun sanksi yang diberikan berupa pengurangan jumlah kuota yang seharusnya diterima oleh SMA asal siswa itu pada jalur SNMPTN di tahun berikutnya.<\/p>\n

Di akhir, Machmudah mengharapkan bagi pendaftar yang telah dinyatakan diterima untuk segera membaca pengumuman dengan seksama mengenai jadwal dan persiapan registrasi ulang secara daring melalui halaman smits.its.ac.id\/pengumuman\/snmptn. \u201cDan untuk uang kuliah tunggal (UKT) pada tahun ini masih dengan sistem yang sama dengan maksimal Rp 7,5 juta per semesternya,\u201d pungkasnya.
