Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh sekitar 80 orang peserta. Peserta tidak hanya didkuti jurusan Teknik Mesin saja , tapi juga ada dari&nbsp; jurusan lain. kepesertaan tidak hanya diikuti mahasiswa yang duduk di semester 7 saja, tapi juga dari semester 5.<br \/>Acara yang berlangsung dari pagi hingga sore hari&nbsp; ini mendatangkan seorang pemateri yang cukup berkompeten dalam mengasah Human Resource, Ms Ellen Samil, HRD (Human Resource Development) PT. Unilever Tbk. Wanita yang akrab disapa &quot;Tante Ellen&quot; ini memberikan materi dengan gaya yang bisa membangkitkan atmosfer semangat dari peserta. Meski di dalam ruangan ber-AC peserta masih kepanasan, namun suasana tetap terjaga. Wanita berusia 54 tahun ini memaparkan apa yang harus dilakukan oleh seorang calon pekerja. Pertama adalah kenali diri (identify yourself), apa yang disukai dan apa yang tidak disukai. Selanjutnya mengasah kompetensi dan skill, baik hard skill maupun soft skill. <br \/>Simulasi materi dilakukan. Peserta harus mendapatkan pasangan sebagai partner untuk sharing. Saat sharing berlangsung, suasana cukup gaduh. Ellen, kemudian memberikan kesempatan bagi beberapa orang peserta untuk menyimpulkan manfaat sharing yang mereka lakukan. Dari sharing seseorang akan tahu bahwa yang menurut dirinya baik belum tentu menurut orang lain baik. Ketika seseorang merasa puas dengan pekerjaannya, belum tentu orang lain merasakan hal yang sama pula. <br \/>Wanita kelahiran Pare-pare yang memulai debut kariernya di Unilever pada tahun 1980 ini memandang kredibilitas mahasiswa ITS sebenarnya memiliki hard skill yang kuat bisa dikatakan sangat <em>smart<\/em>, akan tetapi memiliki soft skill yang kurang. Sehingga mahasiswa perlu belajar banyak bagaimana &quot;menjual diri&quot; yang harus disiapkan sejak dini. Bahkan menurut Ellen harus dimulai dari semester 5. &quot; jangan menjadi katak dalam tempurung!&quot; Ujar ibu satu putra yang mengaku masih berjiwa 17 tahun.<br \/>Wanita berkacamata ini mengatakan bahwa Perempuan cenderung lebih mudah beradaptasi ketimbang laki-laki karena tidak begitu mengejar karier. Sehingga lebih kerasan bekerja di satu tempat saja asalakan sudah mendapatkan dunianya (suasana kekeluargaan). Bahkan menurut Ellen, di Unilever sendiri prosentase wanita yang bekerja 55%, lebih banyak dari pada laki-laki.<br \/>&nbsp;Ellen menekankan bahwa sharing tidak harus dibatasi dengan teman terdekat saja, tapi dengan orang sekitar kita perlu sharing.
