Lapangan perpustakaan ITS menjadi penuh sesak oleh barisan peserta yang agak kocar kacir. panitia sudah berusaha mengatur barisan sesuai konsep yang dibuat SC (steering Commite). Masa yang cukup besar membuat panitia kewalahan. Teriakan&nbsp; yel-yel peserta IW 2006 menjadi atmosfer tersendiri hari pertama pengaderan masal tersebut. Aksi arogansi jurusan dimunculkan sejak mereka digiring menerobos integralistic line menuju lapangan perpustakaan. <br \/>Kesiapan peserta IW 2006 cukup baik. Mereka memakai dan membawa atribut jurusan masing-masing untuk menunjukkan arogansinya, baliho, ikat kepala, dan mendera himpunan melengkapi kedatangan mereka. Teknik material menjadi paling awal menempati panggung integralistik ITS yang mertempat di lapangan perpustakaan tersebut. disusul jurusan-jurusan lain yang tak kalah semangat, meski mereka datang tanpa membawa atribut kebanggaan jurusannya. Bahkan beberapa jurusan datang terlambat dikarenakan bentrok dengan jadwal kuliah. Suasana tetap terjaga riuh sebelum IW 2006 resmi dibuka. <br \/>Tugas hari pertama pengaderan masal tersebut peserta harus membawa keplek dan buku IW 2006 yang akan disahkan oleh panitia pada saat itu juga. Konsep acara hari itu memang dibuat sedemikian rupa. MABA telah dipersiapkan untuk menunjukkan eksistensi jurusanya oleh HIMA masing-masing. Aksi peserta mendapatkan kawalan dari perwakilan himpunannya. Keriuhan pengaderan masal kali ini memang berbeda dibanding tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Panitia memperkirakan jumlah peserta semua jurusan sebanyak 2000 orang MABA. Acara baru dibuka sekitar pukul 15.45 WIB.
