Salah satu penerapannya adalah untuk radar kendali kendaraan otomatis yang telah disampaikan dalam Sidang Terbuka Promosi Doktor di Ruang Sidang Teknik Elektro ITS, pekan lalu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dijelaskan oleh Syahfrizal, radar FPMIMO sendiri merupakan kombinasi antara radar Phased Array (PA) dan radar MIMO. Sehingga kelebihan dari kedua radar tersebut bisa dicapai. \u201cBeberapa di antarannya meliputi jangkauan maksimal, jumlah target yang terdeteksi, fungsi ambiguitas, dan lain sebagainya,\u201d paparnya.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Syahfrizal, radar berantena banyak tersebut juga memiliki fleksibilitas tinggi terhadap berbagai kondisi target. Sehingga bisa diterapkan sebagai radar burung atau radar kendaraan yang bisa memenuhi tujuan tertentu. Pengaruh penggunaan elemen realistik seperti elemen antena tipe-cos(\u03b8) juga turut disajikan.<\/p>\n<p>Lelaki kelahiran Kediri tersebut juga menyebutkan, peran dari konsep radar rancangannya juga sangat penting dalam sistem kendali kendaraan pada. Sejalan dengan riset kendaraan listrik yang sedang dikembangkan oleh ITS, besar harapan lelaki tersebut untuk bisa bekerja sama ke depannya.<\/p>\n<p>Karena masih berupa konsep, mahasiswa bimbingan Prof Ir Gamantyo Hendrantoro MEng PhD ini juga mengakui, masih banyak pengembangan yang harus dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. \u201cApalagi jika konsep radar ini mulai direalisasikan pada perangkat kerasnya,\u201d tegas dosen Universitas Borneo Tarakan ini.<\/p>\n<p>Oleh karena itu, Syahfrizal sangat terbuka jika terdapat ilmuan atau mahasiswa yang ingin riset bersama mengenai radar ini. Ia menyebutkan, jumlah peneliti atau pakar dalam bidang radar di Indonesia masih sangat jarang. Sehingga harapannya, kerja sama ini juga dapat meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di Indonesia yang salah satunya dalam teknologi pada bidang radar.
