Kampus ITS, ITS News – <\/strong>Sebagai upaya peningkatan pada bidang ilmu dan teknologi, Universitas Lancang Kuning (Unilak) Riau bersama Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) menandatangani nota kesepahaman atau Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Kegiatan berlangsung di Ruang Rapat Pimpinan, Gedung Rektorat ITS, Rabu (18\/12).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rektor Unilak Dr Junaidi S S MHum mengatakan, hubungan ITS dengan universitas yang mempunyai motto the Best University with Melayu Culture in the World, ini sebenarnya sudah pernah berlangsung dari 2005-2007. Salah satunya kerja sama dalam pendidikan dosen, seperti membantu para dosen Unilak untuk menempuh pendidikan ke program pascasarjana.<\/p>\n

Dilanjut mantan dekan Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Unilak ini, sebelumnya pihaknya juga sudah bekerja sama dengan beberapa perguruan tinggi lainnya. \u201cTapi untuk bidang teknologi, kami akan lebih memilih bekerja sama dengan ITS,\u201d tandasnya.<\/p>\n

Fokus dari isi perjanjian MoU tersebut, lebih kepada transfer kredit mahasiswa ITS. Serta bimbingan bersama antara mahasiswa Unilak dengan dosen-dosen ITS, dalam bidang keilmuan dan teknologi. \u201cDitambah dengan pengiriman dosen-dosen Unilak yang akan mengambil program S3 di sini (ITS, red),\u201d jelas pria berkacamata ini.<\/p>\n

Junaidi mengungkapkan, pengaruh ITS terhadap salah satu universitas swasta di Riau ini tentu akan sangat membantu mereka sebagai salah satu universitas swasta. Kami mengakui banyaknya profesor dan pakar-pakar yang ada di ITS, jadi kita bisa bertukar ilmu pengetahuan dari dosen- dosen ITS. Kami ingin bermitra, agar bisa lebih update dalam bidang ilmu dan teknologi serta dapat bimbingan dari ITS.<\/p>\n

Junaidi mengungkapkan kembali, tak hanya sampai di situ, namun ada harapan ke depan setelah diadakannya perjanjian MoU kali ini. Yakni kerja sama dapat dilaksanakan dan akan dilanjutkan di fakultas-fakultas yang ada di Unilak. \u201cDiharapkan ke depan kami (Unilak, red) dapat berjumpa dengan perwakilan-perwakilan fakultas dari ITS untuk merealisasikan rencana-rencana tadi,\u201d tuturnya.
