5.9 K ITS Run participants start running from the start line<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

ITS Campus, ITS News<\/strong> \u2013 has the top of its anniversary or the 59 anniversary of the upcoming November 10, the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) holding ITS sports activities of 5.9 K, Sunday (27\/10). This activity followed by at least 1,500 people aims to strengthen the bond between ITS with alumni and stakeholders outside the campus.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Denny Indrayana Setyadi ST. MDs, one of ITS Run coordinator reveals, this event opened by ITS Rector Prof. Dr. Ir Mochamad Ashari M Eng this is a means to introduce ITS deeper into the wider community. As many alumni and ITS stakeholders are always supportive of technology development at ITS. It is evident from the technical implementation of ITS Run which invites the participants to run within the ITS sphere. “The path of the selected track is a path that can represent ITS own,” he said.<\/p>\n

The track runs starting from the start at ITS Alumni Park, towards ITS student dormitory, then turning back towards the lecturer housing Building, ITS Research Center Building, industrial product design building, regional and city planning building, passing the highway Mulyosari until finally again finish to ITS Alumni Park.<\/p>\n

Of the 1,500 participants, 10 percent of the students are the student and more or less 400 people come from West Java and Jakarta. “I’m sure they (400 people, red) are ITS alumni,” said Denny. The rest comes from ITS stakeholders and ITS partners.<\/p>\n

Philosophically, Denny admitted, ITS Run has the meaning that ITS ready to run pursuing technological achievement through works and creative innovations. It is indirectly, ITS Run invites its stakeholders as well as ITS alumni to get together in achieving the dream. Not only that, but the 5.9 kilometers of running distance itself is also a philosophical mirror of ITS’s 59 anniversary.<\/p>\n

With the theme of creativity and technology, the event that has been first held is not only to invite participants to compete in the run but also to enjoy the creative bazaar to be enjoyed. This creative bazaar is recognized as an attempt to make visitors in the ITS environment in a long time.<\/p>\n

Denny’s added the reason of event ITS Run itself was due to the event was assessed quite effective in linking ITS stakeholders and ITS alumni. “There are coming per group, then each group met, so know each other, ” added the lecturer of Departement of Visual Communication Design (DKV) ITS.<\/p>\n

Denny hopes, ITS Run can retain its existence to be the annual agenda at ITS. He also practiced the implementation of ITS Run to make it much better and larger in terms of the event. “And can attract more participants to join,” he concluded.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the total number of participants who reached the winner of the winners of the male and female category. The first champion of the son category was supported by Angga Pranata (24 years old) with 20 minutes seven seconds. The first champion of the female category is Sandriya Vie Amanillah (13 years old) from Pasuruan with a record of 24 minutes 11 seconds. (vi\/rev\/ITS Public Relations)<\/p>\n
