ITS Campus, ITS News<\/strong> \u2013 A proud achievement was achieved by three lecturers of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in the 2019 Academic Leader Award organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti). ITS won those three awards in the prestigious event on the awarding night held in Jakarta, Tuesday (1\/10).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He is Prof Dr. Ketut Buda Artana ST MSc, the first winner of the 2019 Academic Leader in the field of Maritime Science. He raised the Automatic Identification System ITS (AISITS) as a featured product of this field. “The emphasized thing is how AISITS developed, improved, and successfully commercialized,” he said when met at the ITS Rectorate, Wednesday (2\/10).<\/span><\/p>\n

He also added that by successfully commercializing the product, it will increase the potential of the product to be used in the industry. AISITS has been developed for a long time through the help of various parties such as many laboratory assistants in ITS, Science Technopark, Science and Technology Center (PUI), and support from ITS as an institution. “Therefore, I consider this award to be given to ITS, not to me personally,” he said modestly.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Academic Leader Award is an annual event organized by Kemenristekdikti through the Directorate General of Science Technology and Higher Education Resources. There are three main categories nominated, namely Academic Leader for Lecturer with Additional Duty as Rector, Academic Leader for Lecturer with Additional Duty as Head of Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI), and Academic Leader for Lecturer in various fields. “I was included in the category among the eight fields contested, which is the field of the Maritime Science,” said the former Vice-Rector IV.<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides Ketut, two other ITS lecturers were also achieved similar awards. They are Prof. Dr. Ir Suprapto DEA as the winner of the Academic Leader in the category of Lecturer with Additional Duty as Head of LLDIKTI and Prof. Dr. Drs Darminto MSc as 2nd champion of Academic Leader in the field of Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n
