Kali ini, kompetisi tahunan milik Departemen Teknik Kelautan tersebut mengangkat tema <em>Sustainable Future Through Maritime Sector<\/em>, Jumat (11\/10).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>M Rizky Syarifudin, Koordinator acara, menyampaikan bahwa sub tema yang diusung kali ini merupakan pengembangan dari tema tahun lalu, yaitu struktur dan energi. Penambahan tersebut terletak pada pantai dan <em>offshore<\/em>, mitigasi bencana kelautan yang menjadi permasalahan saat ini, dan teknologi baru yaitu <em>subsea and water technology<\/em>, energi tentang kelautan, dan akuakultur.<\/p>\n<p>Partisipan kompetisi ini berasal dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia, yakni ada IPB, ITB, UNDIP, Universitas Veteran Yogyakarta, UGM, dan tentunya ITS sendiri.<\/p>\n<p>Rizky menambahkan, kategori pemenang lomba ada empat, yaitu juara pertama, kedua, dan ketiga yang ditentukan dari 50% presentasi dan 50% <em>full paper<\/em>. Sedangkan untuk kategori <em>outstanding idea<\/em>, penilaiannya \u00a0berasal dari poster yang dibuat tim dengan bobot nilai 50% berasal dari juri dan sisanya dari partisipan yang ada di pasar jumat ITS, tempat mereka memamerkan posternya.<\/p>\n<p>Salah satu juri, Prof\u00a0Daniel M\u00a0Rosyid PhD\u00a0MRINA selaku Guru Besar Fakultas Teknik Kelautan ITS, mengatakan, gagasan harus relevan dengan tantangan yang kita hadapi saat ini. &#8220;Untuk secara teknis tidak terlalu penting karena ini masih di jenjang mahasiswa. Saya kira pengenalan mahasiswa terhadap persoalan-persoalan kemaritiman lah yang sangat penting,&#8221; ungkapnya pada ITS Online.<\/p>\n<p>M Amril, Ketua Panitia Oceano menambahkan bahwa target utama diselenggarakannya kompetisi ini adalah ingin mengenalkan bidang-bidang dari Departemen Teknik Kelautan. Juga sebagai sarana untuk mewadahi gagasan dan ide inovatif, kreatif, dan aplikatif dari teman-teman mahasiswa. &#8220;Kompetisi ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai ruang ekspresi bagi teman-teman mahasiswa,&#8221; terangnya.mem<\/p>\n<p>Ke depannya, Amril berharap Oceano, melalui Paper Competition, dapat terus berkembang dan meningkatkan jumlah peserta, serta terus mengembangkan sub tema. &#8220;Selain itu juga untuk kedepannya dapat menghadirkan juri-juri yang lebih mumpuni sehingga dapat memverifikasi apakah gagasan dan ide yang disampaikan peserta benar-benar dapat diterapkan di kehidupan,&#8221; pungkasnya.
