Fakta ini mengilhami Tim Samudera\u00a0Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) untuk mencetuskan ide Tol Ba-lok Bawah Laut sebagai jalur transportasi alternatif guna mengatasi persoalan tersebut.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Adalah Andreas Anthoni Wiyanto, Indah Aqnaita Tidar Yasmin Zein, dan Gandhi Wisnu Hari Murti, tiga mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Kelautan ITS yang menggagas\u00a0terowongan bawah laut penghubung (Pulau) Bali dan Lombok.\u00a0Indah, salah seorang anggota tim menyampaikan, untuk\u00a0menghubungkan dua jalan (dalam hal ini adalah pulau) yang terputus oleh adanya rintangan (dalam hal ini adalah laut), dibangunlah suatu struktur konstruksi berupa jembatan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Akan tetapi, kali ini kami (Tim Samudra, red) memilih terowongan untuk kami implementasikan menjadi sebuah jalan tol bawah laut,&#8221; terang Indah.<\/p>\n<p>Terowongan bawah laut yang berada di sepanjang perairan itu tidak sepenuhnya tenggelam. Dengan menggunakan\u00a0s<em>ubmerged floating tunnel<\/em>, terowongan ini akan didesain mengambang. Dengan elemen struktur\u00a0<em>tube, tethers, <\/em>dan<em> gravity anchor<\/em> dan\u00a0menggunakan prinsip kerja kapal selam,\u00a0diharapkan terowongan yang mereka desain pada kedalaman 60 meter nantinya tidak terombang-ambing karena arus laut.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sistem yang kami gunakan tersebut juga disebut <em>mooring system<\/em>. Dengan diaplikasikannya sistem ini, Tol Ba-Lok (terowongan, red) dapat tetap pada posisi meskipun terjadi banyak guncangan,&#8221; sahut mahasiswi asal Pasuruan ini.<\/p>\n<p>Mahasiswa ITS angkatan 2017 ini juga menerangkan, terowongan yang mereka gagas di laut dengan kedalaman 120 hingga 200 meter ini terdiri dari beberapa rute perairan.\u00a0Dimulai dari (Pulau) Bali menuju Nusa Penida, dan dilanjutkan dari (Pulau) Nusa Penida menuju (Pulau) Lombok sebagai tujuan akhir.<\/p>\n<p>Indah mengungkapkan, inovasi yang mereka kembangkan sebenarnya sempat dikaji di Indonesia. Namun, belum ada tindak lanjut dari hal tersebut, sehingga ide yang mereka kembangkan ini merupakan hal baru dan satu-satunya di Indonesia. \u201cDi luar negeri sudah pernah dilakukan pengkajian terhadap inovasi ini, tetapi konsep yang dimiliki oleh kelompok kami (Samudra, red) berbeda,\u201d klaim Indah.<\/p>\n<p>Bagi mahasiswa kelahiran Samarinda, 11 September 1999 ini,\u00a0selain sebagai jalur transportasi alternatif, terowongan yang mereka gagas ini juga ditujukan untuk menaikkan jumlah wisatawan asing\u00a0di pulau Lombok yang sempat menurun karena Gempa pada Juli 2018 lalu. Lanjut Indah, bencana alam tersebut berdampak besar pada anjloknya jumlah wisatawan mancanegara (wisman).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tak heran penerimaan devisa negara semakin tergerus seiring terjadinya bencana alam secara terus-menerus,&#8221; sahutnya.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_43129\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43129\" style=\"width: 1257px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-43129\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/DSC01471.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1257\" height=\"707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/DSC01471.jpg 6000w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/DSC01471-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/DSC01471-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/DSC01471-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/DSC01471-355x200.jpg 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1257px) 100vw, 1257px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-43129\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Inovasi Tol Ba-lok Bawah Laut berhasil lolos dalam Final Paper Competition OCEAN 2019.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jika ide yang mereka usung pada Paper Competition Ocean Engineering Exhibition and Competition (OCEANO) 2019 ini dapat diimplementasikan, harapan itu kemungkinan besar dapat terealisasi. Pasalnya, Tol Ba-Lok Bawah Laut\u00a0dapat memangkas waktu penyeberangan antar pulau jika dibandingkan dengan kapal. Karena jika akses penyeberangan dari Bali dan Lombok semakin mudah, wisman akan lebih tertarik untuk mengunjungi dua tempat sekaligus.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dan hal tersebut akan berimbas pada peningkatan devisa negara,&#8221; terang Indah saat ditemui dalam acara Final Paper Competition OCEANO 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Meski demikian, ide tersebut tak dapat diimplementasikan begitu saja, perlu pengkajian lebih lanjut\u00a0mengenai bagaimana pengimplementasiannya ke keadaan yang sebenarnya, seperti perhitungan tekanan hidrostatis dan bagaimana struktur ketika ditambah beban. \u201cSelain itu, kita (Tim Samudra, red) masih dalam tahap studi literatur yang sederhana dan pemodelan saja. Belum sampai tahap survei dan sebagainya,\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Meski masih berupa gagasan, Ia dan tim tetap berharap\u00a0banyak perubahan dan keuntungan yang dapat diperoleh. Salah satunya adalah untuk memberikan\u00a0hasil acuan studi pembangunan struktur lepas pantai.\u00a0Selain itu, jika ditinjau dari keuntungan yang didapatkan baik terealisasi atau tidaknya,\u00a0<em>paper<\/em>\u00a0milik mereka merupakan penyelesaian terbaik untuk permasalahan pelayaran di Indonesia saat ini.<\/p>\n<p>Indah juga berharap semoga pemerintah dapat menilik inovasi yang mereka kembangkan sehingga <em>paper<\/em> yang telah mereka kaji dapat terealisasikan dengan baik, karena pada dasarnya Indonesia sudah mempunyai potensi untuk itu. \u201cSaya juga berharap kedepannya dapat mengembangkan lebih jauh penelitian ini dan lebih dari sekedar studi literatur,\u201d pungkasnya penuh harap.
