Salah seorang delegasi Saxion University of Applied Sciences yang melakukan kunjungan ke Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kampus ITS, ITS News<\/b> \u2013 Dalam rangka menyukseskan langkah Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) menuju World Class University,<\/i> kerja sama dengan perguruan tinggi luar negeri semakin banyak digencarkan. Kali ini, ITS menerima kunjungan dari Saxion University of Applied Sciences untuk mendiskusikan perumusan program double degree. Diskusi tersebut berjalan dengan khidmat di Gedung Rektorat ITS, Senin (23\/9).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Adanya kunjungan dari Saxion University of Applied Sciences ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kerja sama dengan ITS yang telah dijalin sejak tahun 2006. Kunjungan tersebut dihadiri langsung oleh Rektor ITS Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng, Ir W J Mensonides dan Ir P H M Patrick de Lange sebagai delegasi dari Saxion University of Applied Sciences, dan Kepala Departemen Teknik Sipil Tri Joko Wahyu Adi ST MT PhD beserta jajarannya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pertemuan tersebut guna membahas rencana program double degree yang akan diberlakukan di Departemen Teknik Sipil. Bentuk program ini tidak jauh beda dengan program double degree pada umumnya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan akademik akan berlangsung selama tiga tahun di perguruan tinggi asal (home) dan satu sampai dua tahun di perguruan tinggi mitra (host). \u201cUntuk Departemen Teknik Sipil sendiri, perkuliahan di Universitas Saxion of Applied Sciences akan dijalankan selama satu tahun lamanya,\u201d jelas Kepala Departemen Teknik Sipil ITS, Tri Joko Wahyu Adi ST MT PhD.<\/p>\n

Diskusi antara pihak ITS dengan Saxion University of Applied Sciences<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Diskusi tersebut juga membahas rencana kerja sama untuk program lain seperti student exchange, lecturer exchange, <\/em>dan internship. <\/em>Pihak Saxion University of Applied Sciences juga berharap untuk bisa melakukan penelitian dan proyek bersama dengan Departemen Teknik Sipil. “Kami (Departemen Teknik Sipil, red) akan berusaha menyukseskan program-program yang telah didiskusikan bersama dengan pihak Saxion University of Applied Sciences,” ungkap pria yang juga alumnus ITS tersebut.<\/p>\n

Di samping melakukan diskusi, pihak Saxion University of Applied Sciences juga melakukan observasi kelas untuk program double degree. Hal tersebut dilakukan untuk melihat kesiapan Departemen Teknik Sipil ITS dalam rangka membuka program double degree kedepannya.<\/p>\n

Dengan adanya diskusi ini, Rektor ITS Prof Dr Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng berharap ke depannya ITS dan Saxion University of Applied Sciences bisa saling belajar. Pihak Saxion University of Applied Sciences sangat terbuka untuk menerima tawaran kerja sama dari ITS. “Tidak dipungkiri adanya kemungkinan untuk bisa menghadirkan program double degree bagi departemen-departemen lain di ITS,” tungkasnya.
