Hadir sejumlah pejabat, Heryo Wiranto (Kepala Bakesbang Jawa Timur mewakili Gubernur), I Made Wahyu (komandan Marinir), Purwanto (wakil Kapolda Jawa Timur), Setyo Martono ( Presiden BEM ITS). ITS Out Bond Championship dibuka oleh Bapak Tri selaku pembina Resimen Mahasiswa 802 ITS.<\/p>\n<p>Kegiatan Out Bond Championship ini digelar dalam rangka memperingati Hari Pahlawan dan Dies Natalies ke-45 ITS. Acara ini diharapkan pula sebagai ajang silaturrahmi Resimen Mahasiswa antar perguruan tinggi sekaligus memperkenalkan Resimen Mahasiswa 802 ITS ke SMA\/Sederajat di Jawa Timur.<\/p>\n<p>Dari data pendaftar, tercatat 23 tim yang turut andil dalam lomba. Namun, jumlah itu hanya lima puluh persen dari target panitia. &quot;Target untuk SMA\/Sederajat adalah 40 tim&quot;, ungkap Antonius. Peserta berasal dari 7 kota di Jawa Timur, Ponorogo,Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Gresik, Kamal, Lamongan, dan Jombang. Sosialisasi dilakukan satu bulan sebelum kegiatan ke sekolah-sekolah di Surabaya dan melalui pos. <\/p>\n<p>Respon peserta pun cukup positif. &quot;Motivasinya pengen dapat pengalaman!&quot;, ujar Budi triner dari SMAN 7 Surabaya. Latihan yang diterapkannya pun <i>hanya<\/i> jogging setiap hari. Alumni SMAN 7 Surabaya ini mengaku tidak mendapat undangan sehingga harus mencari informasi sendiri ke ITS. <\/p>\n<p>Dari 23 tim, satu timnya terdiri dari lima orang. Panitia juga telah menyediakan 16 rintangan, 11 di darat dan 5 di air untuk para peserta. Kriteria penilaian meliputi kecepatan, kekompakan, dan keseragaman dari peserta dan dinilai langsung oleh tim juri dari Satmenwa ITS sendiri. Hadiah yang diberikan cukup bergengsi. Juara I berhak atas Tropi bergilir dari Gubernur Jawa Timur, Tropi tetap Rektor ITS, uang pembinaan satu juta rupiah dan piagam. Juara II mendapat Tropi bergilir Komandan Pasukan Marinir I, Tropi tetap Rektor ITS, uang pembinaan 800 ribu rupiah dan piagam, Sementara juara III memperoleh Tropi bergilir dari Kapolda Jawa Timur, Tropi tetap Rektor ITS, uang pembinaan 600 ribu rupiah dan piagam.
