Prof Ir Joni Hermana MScES PhD saat menerima hadiah dari Jurnalis Pendidikan Surabaya (JPS)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kampus ITS, ITS News<\/strong> – Empat tahun telah dilalui Prof Ir Joni Hermana MSc Es PhD sebagai rektor Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya. Dalam pesta perpisahan yang digelar di Hotel Bumi, Rabu (10\/4), Joni mendapat kenang-kenangan dari Jurnalis Sahabat Pendidikan (JSP) Surabaya berupa sebuah karikatur. Karikatur itu diberikan sebagai bentuk kenang-kenangan kepada rektor yang akan segera menyelesaikan tugasnya tersebut.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Karikatur yang menggambarkan wajah Rektor ITS itu awalnya lahir dari ide seorang Kontributor Metro TV Surabaya yang bernama Catur Irawan. Dengan gagasan sebuah hadiah perpisahan, Catur mengajak rekan-rekan medianya untuk turut berpartisipasi. \u201cTeman-teman antusias menyambut ide ini, jadi karikatur ini bukan atas nama saya, tapi atas nama Jurnalis Sahabat Pendidikan Surabaya,\u201d ujarnya saat dihubungi ITS Online.<\/p>\n

Dengan mengandalkan seroang teman yang sudah handal di bidangnya, Caturpun memesan karikatur \u00a0tepat tiga hari sebelum acara perpisahan yang digelar di Hotel Bumi Surabaya tersebut. \u201cSaya sudah siapkan sejak tiga hari sebelum hari H, teman-teman media ikut membantu iuran pembuatan karikatur dan pembelian figura,\u201d sambungnya.<\/p>\n

Di mata Catur, Joni adalah sosok yang menyenangkan . Baginya, bapak empat anak ini selalu menunjukkan rasa simpati saat diajak berdiskusi, berbagi pengalaman, ataupun sekedar \u00a0pembicaraan santai.\u00a0 Selama menjabat sebagai rekotr, Catur juga melihat Joni sebagai sosok yang selalu terbuka dengan teman-teman media. \u201cMeski sibuk, kapan pun\u00a0 ia bisa dihubungi untuk dimintai pendapat,\u201d lanjut pria yang saat ini berdomisili di Surabaya tersebut.<\/p>\n

Ditanya tentang pengalaman bersama Joni, ia mengaku diajak meliput kegiatan ITS di Lombok menjadi pengalaman paling berkesan bersama Guru Besar Teknik Lingkungan tersebut. Ia selalu mengingat masa ketika mengunjungi dan melihat proses pembangunan Huntara (Hunian Sementara) bagi korban gempa di Lombok beberapa waktu lalu itu. \u201cSaya tidak akan lupa saat Pak Rektor berkunjung dan terjun langsung ke lokasi korban gempa Lombok,\u201d tambahnya.<\/p>\n

Catur pun tak lupa mendoakan agar kesuksesan mengiringi langkah Joni ke depannya.\u00a0 Ia juga berharap hubungan yang sudah terjalin baik selama ini bisa terus dijaga. \u201cSemoga rektor baru nanti juga bisa lebih baik lagi, mudah diajak kerja sama dengan teman-teman media dan bisa mengerti kebutuhan kami,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n

Di sisi lain, Joni merasa sangat terharu mendapat hadiah berupa kejutan yang istimewa dari para sahabat media tersebut. Apalagi, menurutnya hadiah gambar tersebut bagus dan sangat persis dengan aslinya. Tak lupa ia pun menyampaikan rasa terima kasih atas penghargaan yanhg diberikan oleh rekan media tersebut.\u201cTerima kasih atas perhatian dan support sahabat media yang luar biasa,\u201d pungkasnya.
