Berangkat dari itu, Anjas Muhammad Bangun, mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Elektro Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) merancang APAR dengan menggunakan getaran suara dalam Tugas Akhir (TA) program studi sarjananya saat ini.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Lewat TA berjudul Pemadam Api Berbasis Efek Vibrasi Suara Menggunakan Mikrokontroler STM32, Anjas mencoba menghadirkan inovasi yang belum ada di Indonesia selama ini. Bermodalkan rasa keingintahuan yang tinggi dan kegemaran membaca jurnal-jurnal internasional, dirinya menjadi tahu bahwa ada cara lain untuk memadamkan api tanpa bahan-bahan kimia yang berbahaya.<\/p>\n<p>Dari situ pula, pria yang murah senyum ini mencoba mempelajari penelitian-penelitian terdahulu dari para ilmuwan luar soal hubungan gelombang suara dengan pemadaman api. Dalam subsistem sensor akan bekerja sebagai pendeteksi temperatur dengan pancaran sinar infrared. Sedangkan subsistem main controller-nya lah yang akan mengolah hasil sensor tersebut, untuk akhirnya dijadikan gelombang suara yang mampu memadamkan api.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam karya TA di bawah bimbingan dosen Dr Muhammad Rivai ST MT ini, Anjas menggunakan sifat-sifat fisika dari gelombang suara untuk menyelesaikan masalah kebakaran. Dirinya juga melakukan pendekatan teknologi mutakhir seperti mikrokontroler STM32, agar tercipta alat yang lebih portable dan punya mobilitas yang tinggi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKarena alat ini tidak menggunakan air, karbon dioksida dan foam, maka tingkat keamanan dan mobilitas yang diciptakannya cukup tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan APAR konvensional yang sudah ada,\u201d tutur wisudawan cum laude peraih IPK 3,53 yang akan diwisuda pada Sabtu (16\/3) ini.<\/p>\n<p>Namun karena hal yang dilakukannya ini termasuk baru di Indonesia, maka ada beberapa kesulitan yang Anjas temui. Mulai dari soal peralatan hingga masalah teknis dalam percobaan alatnya. Contohnya, seperti usahanya dalam membangkitkan gelombang suara dari frekuensi rendah agar sampai ke titik yang mampu mamadamkan api.<\/p>\n<p>Meskipun demikian, Anjas tak langsung puas diri dan siap melakukan tantangan lain untuk mengembangkan alat ini. \u201cKarena ini masih berfungsi untuk memadamkan api skala kecil, ke depannya saya harap bisa untuk peristiwa kebakaran yang lebih besar,\u201d pungkas pria 22 tahun ini.
