Bye Letter Team dari BAPKM ITS mengusung inovasi sistem layanan surat mahasiswa berbasis website guna memudahkan pelayanan.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ialah Galih Wahyu Prasetyo, Fathin Hilmiyah, dan M Setyo Puji Raharjo, otak di balik hadirnya inovasi ini. Menurut Galih, prosedur pembuatan surat bagi mahasiswa yang selama ini dilakukan oleh BAPKM cukup menyita waktu. Akibatnya, sering terjadi antrean panjang di loket BAPKM. Belum lagi mahasiswa yang harus bolak-balik ke loket untuk memenuhi persyaratan yang diminta.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, Galih menyebutkan bahwa pengerjaan surat di BAPKM masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga kerap kali ditemukan kesalahan penulisan oleh administrator BAPKM. \u201cSistem yang telah diterapkan sebelumnya juga belum terintegrasi dengan sistem informasi akademik mahasiswa,\u201d tambahnya.<\/p>\n<p>Mengenai sistem baru tersebut, Galih memaparkan bahwa sistem ini akan terhubung dengan sistem website informasi akademik mahasiwa (SIAKAD). Sehingga verifikasi persyaratan yang sebelumnya dilakukan secara manual oleh BAPKM akan dilakukan secara online. \u201cJadi, mahasiswa cukup melakukan pengajuan online melalui SIAKAD tanpa harus datang ke BAPKM,\u201d terangnya.<\/p>\n<p>Setelah verifikasi online diterima, lanjut Galih, mahasiswa dapat mencetak surat dan melengkapi berkas yang diminta. Terakhir, mahasiswa hanya perlu datang ke BAPKM untuk pembubuhan tanda tangan dan cap pada surat. \u201cProses ini hanya memakan waktu dua menit per surat, tidak seperti prosedur lama yang memakan waktu sekitar sepuluh menit per surat,\u201d imbuhnya.<\/p>\n<p>Meskipun demikian, Galih menilai sistem yang berencana diimplementasikan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2018\/2019 ini masih memiliki beberapa kekurangan. Diantaranya, sistem belum terintegrasi dengan fakultas dan departemen serta hanya dapat diakses melalui website. \u201cKami berharap sistem ini dapat menyediakan kategori surat yang dilayani oleh departemen serta terhubung dengan aplikasi myITS mahasiswa,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Sebelumnya, sistem yang digagas oleh Galih dan dua rekannya itu telah melalukan tahap uji coba dan mendapat respon positif dari berbagai kalangan, baik mahasiswa maupun pegawai BAPKM ITS. Selain itu, inovasi ini pun berhasil menghantarkan Galih dan tim meraih juara I bidang IT pada ITSprovement beberapa waktu lalu.
