Hal itu dipaparkannya dalam Sidang Terbuka Promosi Doktor Departemen Teknik Elektro Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Rabu (13\/2) lalu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dalam disertasinya dijelaskan bahwa Hybrid KINTRIMA Clustering merupakan salah satu metode pengelompokan yang memberikan tiga pendekatan output sekaligus. Pendekatan tersebut adalah exclusive clustering untuk kecenderungan isolated Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) terhadap suatu primer, flexible clustering untuk mencari primer yang tren, dan hierarchical clustering untuk menganalisa asal infeksi HCV dari suatu isolated DNA. Ketiga metode pendekatan tersebut diadopsi dari tiga metode clustering yang sering digunakan yaitu K-Means, Fuzzy C-Means, dan Hierarchical Clustering.<\/p>\n<p>Perempuan yang akrab disapa Kindhi ini juga menjelaskan, ketika terinfeksi oleh virus, Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) akan berusaha beradaptasi dengan mengubah pola kode RNA, sehingga DNA yang terbentuk juga akan berubah. \u201cSehingga terus menghasilkan subtype baru pada HCV dan tidak semua primer mampu mengenali di dalam isolated DNA,\u201d papar perempuan yang juga dosen Teknik Elektro ITS ini.<\/p>\n<p>Saat ini masih belum ada vaksin yang secara mutlak dapat digunakan untuk mencegah HCV. Sehingga metode ini diharapkan mampu untuk memprediksi adanya HCV dengan pola mutasinya yang beragam. Dengan begitu, hasil analisa clustering dan prediksi dari metode ini diharapkan juga dapat digunakan sebagai evaluasi di bidang kedokteran untuk selangkah lebih dekat dalam penemuan vaksin HCV.<\/p>\n<p>Pada akhir presentasi disertasinya yang berjudul Analisa Tren Mutasi Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) pada isolated DNA Berbasis Hybrid KINTRIMA Clustering, Kindhi menyebutkan bahwa penelitian ini akan terus dilanjutkan di kemudian hari. \u201cJadi kita akan terus melakukan riset bersama dengan tim yang sudah ahli pada bidang masing-masing,\u201d tutur perempuan yang lahir di Ponorogo tersebut.
