Kampus ITS, ITS News –<\/strong> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya resmi mendapatkan lisensi Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi (LSP) oleh Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP) Indonesia. Penyerahan lisensi ini telah diberikan saat perayaan Dies Natalis ke-58 ITS lalu. Kini mahasiswa yang lulus tak hanya memperoleh ijazah, namun juga sertifikat profesi yang menyatakan seseorang itu memang benar ahli atau berkompeten di bidangnya.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Menurut Kepala Badan Pengembangan dan Pengelolaan Usaha (BPPU) ITS, Dr Ir I Ketut Gunarta MT mengatakan, seorang mahasiswa tidak cukup hanya menyerahkan ijazah ketika melamar pekerjaan di industri. Namun, mereka juga harus memiliki keahlian yang bisa dibuktikan dengan sertifikat profesi. \u201cIjazah itu hanya sebuah nilai, tak cukup untuk meyakinkan sebuah perusahaan bahwa orang ini benar-benar mampu di bidang yang ditawarkan,\u201d tuturnya kepada ITS Online.<\/p>\n

Ada tiga jenis LSP yang disediakan oleh ITS, yakni LSP-P1 yang ditujukan pada dunia pendidikan, LSP-P2 pada dunia perusahaan, dan LSP-P3 pada dunia asosiasi profesi. \u201cJadi, program sertifikasi ini bisa diikuti oleh pihak luar ITS atau masyarakat umum, namun lulusan dari ITS-lah yang lebih kami utamakan,\u201d imbuhnya. Dengan perolehan lisensi tersebut, LSP ITS telah mampu membuat materi uji kompetensi dan menerbitkan sertifikat profesi itu sendiri.<\/p>\n

Ketut menuturkan, siapa pun yang mengikuti sertifikasi profesi LSP di ITS ini akan mendapatkan pelatihan dan pendidikan secara serius dengan target lulus uji kompetensi 90 persen. Betapa tidak, peserta cukup mendaftar di laman LSP, kemudian mengikuti serangkaian kursus atau pelatihan pendidikan, baru setelah itu melakukan ujian. Pengujian atau tes akhir dilakukan dengan sangat teliti oleh pihak LSP. Artinya, jika ada satu permasalahan yang tidak mampu dijawab oleh peserta dengan benar, maka sudah dianggap tidak lolos.<\/p>\n

Saat ini, LSP ITS masih menyediakan tiga skema kompetensi yakni operator komputer, desain gambar perancangan mekanik, dan Kesehatan Keselamatan Kerja (K3) konstruksi. \u201cUntuk enam bulan ke depan, kami menargetkan ada tambahan enam lagi skema kompetensi bidang ahli,\u201d katanya. Skema kompetensi itu dirancang sendiri oleh lembaga dengan departemen-departemen di ITS dan juga harus mendapatkan persetujuan BNSP.<\/p>\n

Dikatakan dosen Departemen Teknik Industri ini, akan ada banyak skema kompetensi menarik yang akan dibangun ke depannya. Untuk saat ini, kami telah menyiapkan lebih dari 50 asesor dari dosen-dosen ITS yang telah tersertifikasi dan mampu bersaing di dunia industri. \u201cPara asesor ini akan menjadi pelatih, pembimbing, sekaligus penguji kepada para peserta selama kursus,\u201d urainya.<\/p>\n

Selain asesor dalam negeri, ITS juga berencana mengundang asesor luar negeri untuk memenuhi program skema kompetensi internasional yang tidak tersedia di Indonesia, seperti perancangan desain industri 4.0. \u201cAsesor yang ahli dan menguasai pada kompetensi itu tidak kami temukan di Indonesia, tersedianya di Jerman,\u201d ungkapnya. Namun, ITS bukan lagi sebagai penyedia, tetapi hanya sebagai penyelenggara dan tempat uji kompetensi.<\/p>\n

Menurut Ketut, belum banyak perguruan tinggi negeri di Indonesia yang memiliki LSP. Sebab, proses untuk mendapatkan lisensi dari BNSP ini tidak mudah. \u201cSelama tiga bulan berturut-turut kami kerja lembur sampai larut malam demi mendapatkan lisensi itu,\u201d sambungnya. Harapannya, ITS bisa bergerak lebih kencang dalam hal pengembangan sumber daya manusia dan juga bisa meningkatkan pendapatannya sendiri sebagai kampus PTN berbadan hukum yang mandiri.
