Hal ini untuk mengurangi dominasi penggunaan bahan bakar fosil berupa batu bara dan minyak bumi.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Menjawab tantangan yang ada tersebut, Hanna Anie Sharlene Rayitno Soebari, mahasiswa Teknik Geomatika Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya terinspirasi untuk melakukan pemetaan potensi energi laut guna membantu menyediakan energi listrik alternative di Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui Tugas Akhir (TA) yang berjudul Pemetaan Potensi Energi Laut di Pantai Selatan Pulau Jawa Menggunakan Pemodelan Hidrodinamika, Hanna menampilkan informasi terkait lokasi potensi energi laut yang ekonomis dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber energi listrik. Selain melakukan analisa secara spasial, ia juga menampilkan estimasi besaran energi listrik yang tersedia di suatu daerah. \u201cApalagi Indonesia adalah negara maritim, tentunya memiliki potensi kelautan yang besar,\u201d ungkap gadis berparas manis ini.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, Hanna menuturkan, data lapangan seperti angin dan pasang surut digunakan sebagai parameter untuk pemodelan hidrodinamika miliknya. Dari sini akan dihitung rentang pasang surut (pasut), ketinggian gelombang, dan kecepatan arus. \u201cKemudian dilakukan analisa terkait besar kecilnya tingkat kesalahan yang dihasilkan dari model tersebut, jika tingkat kesalahannya kecil maka model dianggap sudah mewakili kondisi yang sebenarnya di lapangan,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Sempat terkendala lamanya pengumpulan data, Hanna menyebarkan 43 titik observasi di sepanjang area studi dengan jarak 20 kilometer antar titik. Titik-titik tersebut akan dianalisa potensi energinya berdasar nilai minimum yang dibutuhkan, yaitu rentang pasut sebesar dua meter, kecepatan arus 0,5 m\/s, dan ketinggian gelombang 1,6 meter. \u201cSetelah itu baru ditambahkan parameter analisa spasial di mana titik tersebut dianggap potensial jika berjarak maksimal lima kilometer dari akses jalan terdekat,\u201d papar mahasiswa kelahiran 1995 itu.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui bimbingan dosen, Danar Guruh Pratomo PhD, pemodelan hidrodinamika ini dilakukan dengan bantuan software Delft 3D yang berasal dari Belanda. Software ini dapat melakukan simulasi numerik aliran air yang menggunakan persamaan matematika untuk menggambarkan fenomena fisik aliran.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, Delft 3D dipilih karena dapat diakses oleh setiap orang, sehingga memungkinkan penggunaanya untuk berdiskusi dengan tim di Belanda. \u201cPerbandingan ketinggian air dan arus juga lebih bagus jika dibandingkan software Mike 21,\u201d tutur mahasiswi yang akan diwisuda pada 16 September 2018 mendatang.<\/p>\n<p>Sesuai dengan video dan peta yang menjadi keluarannya, dari 43 titik yang ia sebar, perairan selatan Pulau Jawa memiliki potensi energi pasang surut sebanyak 19 titik lokasi. Untuk potensi energi arus hanya ada di tujuh tempat. Dengan begitu, ia menekankan hasil ini menjanjikan jutaan megawatt aliran listrik jika dikelola dengan baik. \u201cYang tertinggi di daerah Kedungkaji, energi yang ada mencapai 1.041 MW,\u201d pungkas perempuan yang kini bekerja di PT Alur Pelayaran Barat Surabaya itu.
