Singapura, ITS News- <\/strong>Sabtu (9\/3) ITS Team Sapuangin baru saja sukses menyelesaikan technical inspection dalam ajang Shell Eco Marathon (SEM) Asia, Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapura. Digawangi oleh 12 orang anggota tim, mobil hemat energi kebanggaan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) ini siap melaju ke tahap uji coba di landasan pacu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Dalam inspeksi teknis ini, Sapuangin XI Evo generasi kedua ini menjalani sepuluh macam rangkaian tes. Diantaranya yaitu driver control, vehicle weight, vehicle dimension, seatbelts and rollbar, brake, visibility, mechanical vehicle design, electrical vehicle design, energy verification, dan telemetry.<\/p>\n

\u201cInspeksi teknis adalah pengecekan kesesuaian mobil dengan ketentuan perlombaan SEM. Disesuaikan dengan kategori kepesertaan,\u201d ungkap Billy Firmansyah, manajer non teknis ITS Sapuangin Team.<\/p>\n

Beberapa diantaranya, tutur Billy, merupakan tes keamanan wajib. Contohnya adalah tes keleluasan pengemudi untuk dapat keluar dari mobil dalam waktu sepuluh detik, tes sudut pandang 180 derajat, tes rem hidrolik, hingga tes sabuk pengaman yang harus memenuhi lima titik mounting.<\/p>\n

\u201cSempat terdapat kendala di tahap telemetry. Karena kesalahan teknis dari alat panitia,\u201d lanjut Mahasiswa tahun keempat Departemen Teknik Mesin ini. Tes telemetry merupakan verifikasi divice computer and sensors yang terpasang pada badan mobil.<\/p>\n

Setelah melalui rangkaian inspeksi teknis ini, tim nomor urut 502 ini dijadwalkan akan menjalani tahap tahap uji coba untuk menguji jarak tempuh satu liter bahan bakar. Di bawah bimbingan Ir Witantyo MEngSc ITS Team Sapuangin optimis dapat melampau rekor pencapaian KMHE 2017, yaitu 405 km per liter. \u201cSemoga sampai ke ajang Drivers\u2019 World Championship (DWC) di London tahun ini,\u201d pungkasnya.<\/p>\n
