Pertamina Terminal BBM (TBBM) Surabaya adalah konsumsi listrik yang sangat besar tiap bulannya. Bisa dipastikan menyentuh angka 300 juta Rupiah. Melihat hal tersebut, Wahyu Nugroho bersama timnya menciptakan Kinematic Flywheel Convertion (KFC), alat yang dapat merubah energi gerak menjadi listrik.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Menurut Wahyu Nugroho, alat yang diciptakan sangat murah, mudah dan hemat biaya. Menariknya, cara kerja KFC sama dengan mesin jahit, yakni mendapatkan sumber energi dari pijakan truk BBM.<\/p>\n<p>Kemudian menekan piston yang akan menggerakkan roda gigi dan dikonversikan pada flywheel untuk memutar altenator. \u201cAltenator merupakan energi alternatif yang merubah gerak menjadi listrik, nantinya akan disimpan pada aki dan dapat menghidupkan lampu di beberapa titik,\u201d ujar Wahyu Nugroho, Ketua Tim KFC.<\/p>\n<p>Wahyu memaparkan distribusi listrik terdapat pada pintu masuk truk BMM yang menghidupkan 6-8 lampu dan pos satpam 2-4 lampu. \u201cKarena operasional pengisian truk BBM 24 jam non stop, maka aki dari dari KFC akan terus terisi. Manfaatnya, pengeluaran listrik dapat ditekan empat persen tiap bulan, sehingga satu tahun mencapai angka penghematan hingga 160 juta,\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n<p>Namun, untuk dapat melewati KFC truk BBM memiliki kualifikasi tersendiri yakni harus dalam keadaan kosong dengan kapasitas 8, 16, 24, 32, dan 40 kiloliter (kl). \u201cUntuk mencegah kerusakan alat, truk yang sudah ada isinya kami arahkan pada jalur lain,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam proses pengerjaan, Pertamina menggandeng dua mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), yakni Ilham Kuncoro (Diploma Teknik Mesin Industri) dan Alan Budi Pratama (S1 Teknik Sistem Perkapalan).<\/p>\n<p>Menurutnya, proses pengerjaan membutuhkan waktu empat bulan untuk menyelesaikan KFC. \u201cKami mengikutsertakan mahasiswa agar mendapatkan keakuratan dua sisi, yakni data dan perhitungan secara sistematis, meskipun halangan terberat adalah mengganti desain hingga empat kali dikarenakan konstruksi materialnya,\u201d ungkap alumni Diploma Teknik Mesin Industri ini.<\/p>\n<p>Di akhir, ia menambahkan sejak dioperasikan pada bulan Oktober, alat ini telah meraih berbagai penghargaan yakni Best of The Best Inovasi Wilayah Jawa Timur, Bali, NTT dan NTB, dan Predikat Emas untuk Pertamina Direktorat Pemasaran. \u201cKami berharap ke depannya, KFC dapat diaplikasikan di cabang Pertamina yang lain dan digunakan pada jalan tol,\u201d pungkasnya.
