Bertempat di Gedung Sihola, kegiatan ini mengusung tema <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Engage Youth Capability to Empower Millennials Against the Future <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">selama dua hari mulai Sabtu(3\/2).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Berbeda dengan tahun lalu, EPW 2018 kali ini mengambil lokasi di luar Kampus ITS, yakni di Jalan Tunjungan Surabaya. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan sebagai wadah bagi pelajar dan masyarakat untuk menggali potensi diri generasi muda Indonesia dengan mengedepankan semangat dalam dunia teknologi dan sains untuk pembangunan dunia industri. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dalam acara ini terdapat 4 rangkaian kegiatan yaitu <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Smart Innovation of Writing<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (SNOW), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Engineering Physics Challenge <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(EPC), lomba fotografi (SNAPSHOT), dan <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">EPW on Talk<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (EOT).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SNOW sendiri merupakan kegiatan yang memberi kesempatan kepada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) atau sederajat dan mahasiswa untuk menyalurkan ide kreatif dan solutif mereka dalam wujud karya tulis ilmiah. Tema yang dipilih untuk kompetisi ini adalah <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Utilize Your Knowledge For Our Better Nation.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sedangkan EPC merupakan ajang olimpiade tahunan tingkat nasional khusus bagi siswa SMA\/sederajat yang bertujuan untuk mengasah kemampuan dalam bidang ilmu fisika dan keteknikan. Dalam kegiatan ini para peserta juga dikenalkan berbagai instrumen laboratorium yang ada di Departemen Teknik Fisika ITS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selain kedua lomba tersebut, dalam EPW 2018 juga diadakan lomba fotografi yang diberi nama SNAPSHOT. Mengangkat tema Kebersamaan Pada Generasi Muda<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">para peserta ditantang untuk menerjemahkan makna kebersamaan dalam bentuk foto. Lima puluh foto terbaik pada kompetisi ini dipamerkan pada penutupan EPW 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kegiatan yang terakhir adalah EoT. Seminar ini membahas mengenai <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Internet of Things <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">dengan menggandeng pembicara terkemuka yakni Ir Herry Abdul Aziz M Eng selaku Staf Ahli Menteri Bidang Teknologi Komunikasi dan Informatika, Norman Sasono selaku Co-founder dan CTO at Bizzy.co.id, dan Aji Ngumboro selaku Direktur Utama PT Hutama Maju Mandiri.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMelalui kegiatan ini diharapkan masing-masing elemen yang terlibat dalam EPW 2018 dapat mengetahui dan menunjukkan kompetensi dirinya masing-masing\u201d tutur Nesa Syofar Zahaf Mainggak, ketua panitia EPW 2018.
