Kampus ITS, ITS News – Community and Technological (CommTECH) Camp 2018 Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya mengenalkan budaya Indonesia kepada para peserta. Bertempat di National Star Academy Surabaya, peserta diajarkan musik dan tarian khas nusantara, Senin (29\/1).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Diikuti 73 peserta dari 19 negara, CommTECH 2018 tak main \u2013 main dalam memperkenalkan budaya Indonesia. Mengangkat seni musik dan tari tradisional Indonesia, National Star Academy Surabaya dipilih sebagai tempat belajar peserta. Hal tersebut bukan tanpa alasan. NSA merupakan salah satu sekolah yang menjadi pusat pengembangan bidang seni yang sangat baik untuk daerah Surabaya dan sekitarnya. Harapannya, NSA dapat meningkatkan semangat dan antusiasme peserta dalam mempelajari budaya Indonesia.<\/p>\n

\u201dKami juga ingin menjukkan bahwa kota Surabaya mengajarkan kebudayaan pada anak-anak sejak usia dini,\u201d ungkap Tri Pitra Wira selaku ketua pelaksana CommTECH Insight 2018.<\/p>\n

Vanessa Hudetzka mahasiswa asal Jerman merasa senang mendapat kesempatan untuk belajar instrumen musik tradisional Indonesia, yaitu gamelan. Dia mengaku bahwa ini adalah kali pertama untuknya menjajal alat musik khas daerah Jawa Bali ini. \u201cRasanya menyenagkan bisa mencoba bermain gamelan dengan tangan sendiri,\u201d tambah mahasiswa yang sekarang berkuliah di Denmark ini.<\/p>\n

Berbeda dengan Vanessa, Sunghun Park merasa bahwa belajar angklung tak sesulit apa yang dia pikirkan sebelumnya. Mahasiswa asal Korea Selatan ini mengaku semangat belajar dari para peserta CommTECH juga sangat besar. \u201cEuforianya sangat terasa, ini adalah kegiatan belajar kebudayaan yang sangat menyenangkan,\u201d\u00a0 ujar Hoon, sapaan akrabnya.<\/p>\n

Huang Vuong atau yang akrab disapa Mimi turut menunjukkan ketertarikannya dalam belajar musik dan tari tradisional Indonesia. \u201c Saya suka gamelan karena musiknya yang lembut, dan untk tari saman menurut saya lumayan sulit,\u201d tambah peserta asal Vietnam tersebut.<\/p>\n

Kegiatan belajar musik dan tari tradisional peserta CommTECH tidak akan berhenti sampai disitu. Mereka akan mengikuti dua sampai tiga kali pertemuan latihan untuk mempersiapkan diri guna tampil pada jamuan makan malam bersama Ir Tri Rismaharini MT selaku Walikota Surabaya.
