Pembicara kunci dalam acara ini, yaitu Prof. Indroyono Susilo sebagai penasehat kehormatan Menteri Pariwisata RI dan Ir. Harjanto Dirjen Industri Logam Maritim Alat Angkut dan Elektronika Kemenprind.<\/p>\n<p>Rektor ITS Prof Ir. Joni Hermana, MSc.ES, PhD turut hadir dan memberikan sambutan yang inspiratif. Acara yang dibuka oleh Dirjen ILMATE ini juga dihadiri oleh Ir. Satya Widya Yudha wakil ketua Komisi 7 DPR RI dan Prof. Sjarief Widjaja Dirjen Perikanan Tangkap KKP.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Daniel M. Rosyid selaku dekan FTK ITS menjelaskan bahwa acara ini merupakan langkah sinergis antara pimpinan kampus dengan alumni dan pemerintah. \u201cIndustri maritim, pelayaran dan kepelabuhanan adalah lapangan kerja yang luas bagi alumni FTK ITS\u201d, ungkapnya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJuga, industri jasa asuransi, klasifikasi dan survey serta konsultan teknik hingga bekerja menjadi PNS\/ ASN di Kementrian dan Dinas Perhubungan, Kelautan dan Perikanan\u201d, imbuhnya.<\/p>\n<p>Menurutnya, selama ini sebagian besar alumni Fakultas Teknologi Kelautan ITS terlibat dalam kegiatan industri galangan kapal seperti PT. PAL Indonesia, PT. Dok Kodja Bahari, PT. Dumas, dan lainnya. \u201cSelain tersebar di berbagai bidang industri lain seperti IPTN, industri bangunan lepas pantai Mc. Dermott Corp, PT. Guna Nusa, Adiguna Shipyard, dunia pendidikan, bidang industri jasa bank, properti, konsultan, dan perusahaan minyak seperti Maxus, Unocal, Arco dan lainnya\u201d, jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Daniel menjelaskan sejarah singkat Fakultas Teknologi Kelautan (FTK) ITS yang didirikan sesuai Keputusan Presiden No. 58 tahun 1982. \u00a0\u201cFakultas ini merupakan pengembangan dari Fakultas Teknik Perkapalan ITS yang didirikan tahun 1960 ketika ITS dijadikan kampus negeri. Lalu, pada tahun 1976 dimulai kerjasama dengan luar negeri yaitu dengan Republik Federal Jerman dalam hal pengiriman tenaga pengajar untuk studi ke luar negeri, bantuan alat-alat laboratorium, dan pengiriman tenaga ahli ke Indonesia\u201d, urainya.<\/p>\n<p>Menurutnya, ilmu teknologi kelautan pada dasarnya adalah ilmu rekayasa yang ditujukan untuk memanfaatkan laut, baik sebagai media transportasi maupun sebagai sumber daya dan ruang atau lingkungan hidup untuk kesejahteraan umat manusia.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam hal ini, FTK ITS menyiapkan tenaga ahli di bidang perencanaan kapal, konstruksi dan kekuatan kapal, manajemen galangan dan industri berat, hidrodinamika, manajemen pelabuhan dan transportasi laut. \u201cSelain itu, juga fokus dalam bidang sistem perkapalan, sistem propulsi, sistem perpipaan, dan alat bantu, perencanaan struktur lepas pantai, perencanaan fasilitas pantai, pelabuhan dan fasilitas laut, sistem pipa bawah laut, dan lain sebagainya\u201d, jelasnya.
