CT WARINGIN Menangkan Kompetisi ICC di UNDIP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kampus ITS Surabaya,ITS News- Setelah sukses dengan sederet prestasi di KBGI dan KJI Indonesia, Departemen Teknik Infrastruktur Sipil lagi menambah tuaian prestasi dalam dunia teknik sipil. Kali ini tiga\u00a0 mahasiswa berhasil menjadi juara satu pada Innovation Concrete Competition (ICC) yang diadakan Universitas Diponegoro pada November lalu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tim yang bernama CT WARINGIN ini terdiri dari Imam Nakhrowi, Arrahmatur Rizky dan Dio Agung Saputra beserta dosen pembimbing R. Buyung Anugraha ST MT. Uniknya selain menyabet juara pertama, tim ini juga meraih kategori best presentation<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Bertemakan Inovasi Beton Mutu Tinggi sebagai Penunjang Konsep Green Building di Indonesia, tim ini mengembangkan konsep \u201cInovasi Pemanfaatan Limbah Las Karbit sebagai Subtituen Semen dengan Kombinasi Pemanfaatan Material Lokal (Kabupaten Tuban) sebagai Penyusun Beton Mutu Tinggi Ramah Lingkungan dalam Mewujudkan Konsep Pembangunan Vertikal\u201d.<\/p>\n

Dio anggota tim mengaku, konsep tersebut didapatkan dengan menganalisa permasalahan pembuataan beton yang ada di Indonesia. \u201cPermasalahan pebuatan beton ialah hasil produksi semen menghasilkan limbah CO2 yang turut meningkatkan suhu global dan merusak alam\u201d, ungkapnya.<\/p>\n

Dio menjelaskan, selain itu bahan utama dari semen ialah kapur, jika semen semakin banyak digunakan seiring dengan pertumbuhan pembangunan infrastruktur maka penambangan kapur \u00a0dapat merusak lingkungan.<\/p>\n

Tak hanya itu, bukti konkret lainnya ialah \u00a0salah satu perusahaan bidang\u00a0 gas di daerah Gresik menghasilkan limbah karbit yang sangat banyak \u00a0dan di tempat pengelasan banyak dijumpai limbah las karbit tersebut. Namun sampai saat ini limbah karbit itu belum dapat dioptimalkan penggunaannya.<\/p>\n

\u201cAtas dua permasalahan tersebut, kami membuat inovasi untuk menjadikan limbah karbit yang sudah kami treatment<\/em> agar dapat menjadi bahan subtituen semen\u201d, jelas Dio.<\/p>\n

Disisi lain, untuk pengganti pasir yang lebih ramah lingkungan, tim ini mengombinasikan material lokal pasir silica dari Tuban sebagai pengganti agregat halus (pasir) itu sendiri.<\/p>\n

Penelitian ini mendapat acungan jempol dari para juri dan juri banyak\u00a0 meminta untuk melanjutkan penelitian ini. Berkat kerja keras selama dua\u00a0 bulan, hasil yang didapatkan benar-benar memuaskan anggota tim. (hen\/jel)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
