Selaras dengan rencana pembuatan ITS Science Techno Park (STP), ITS pun segera mendirikan Pusat Unggulan Iptek \u2013 Mechathronic and Industrial Automation (PUI \u2013 MIA)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ir. Djoko Suprajitno Rahardjo, M.T, pakar dalam bidang telekomunikasi multimedia PUI-MIA, mengatakan bahwa PUI adalah badan riset yang membangun kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak. PUI-MIA diinisiasi atas tawaran kerjasama oleh Direktur PT. CNC Controller Indonesia dengan Departemen Teknik Elektro.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSaat itu, Mei 2012, penandatanganan MOU antara ITS dan PT. CNC Controller Indonesia diwakili oleh Prof. Darminto, M.Sc selaku Wakil Rektor IV,\u201d jelas Djoko.<\/p>\n<p>Kerjasama ITS-CNC ini pun berjalan mulus. Pada September 2012, CNC memberi Training selama dua minggu di Huazhong Numerical Control dan Huanzhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, Tiongkok.<br \/>\nSelain bekerjasama dengan PT CNC Controller, pusat riset Mekatronika juga menjalin kerjasama dengan PT. Siemens Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Djoko mengatakan, kerjasama yang dibangun PUI-MIA tidak melulu tentang penelitian. \u201cPUI-MIA sering mengadakan acara besar, seperti Industrial Automation and Robotic Competition (IARC), Industrial Mechatronics and Automation Exhibition 2015, Industrial Mechatronics and Automation Competition 2015, dan lain sebagainya,\u201d jelas dosen Teknik Elektro ITS itu.<\/p>\n<p>Djoko menjelaskan, PUI \u2013 MIA ini juga akan menopang rencana ITS membangun teknopark. \u201cScience Technopark ITS adalah lembaga yang mendukung inovasi dan komersialisasi teknologi, pengembangan kreasi usaha dan lapangan kerja dan pengembangan ekonomi dari hasil hilirisasi riset oleh dosen dan mahasiswa,\u201d paparnya.<\/p>\n<p>STP memiliki tujuh fokus, yaitu industri otomotif, kemaritiman, industri kreatif, pemukiman, lingkungan, teknologi informasi, dan nano teknologi. STP juga berfungsi menjembatani riset perguruan tinggi dengan dunia industri. \u201cKami berharap, PUI-MIA dapat memberikan manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat baik secara nasional maupun internasional,\u201d pungkasnya.
