Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi 2017<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kementerian Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti RI) mendapuk Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya menjadi tuan rumah Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) 2017. Berlangsung selama lima hari sejak Rabu (7\/11), 80 tim dari perguruan tinggi se-Indonesia akan menampilkan masing-masing mobil andalan mereka.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sirkuit Kenjeran, Surabaya, kali ini menjadi saksi terwujudnya kreativitas mahasiswa Indonesia dalam inovasi mobil hemat energi miliknya. Fahmi Mubarok ST MSc selaku Ketua Pelaksana mengatakan, dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, partisipasi tim dari Indonesia di ajang Shell Eco-Marathon (SEM) sangat sedikit.<\/p>\n

“Lewat gelaran ini, Kemenristekdikti berharap besar agar partisipasi tim dari universitas di Indonesia pada ajang Shell Eco-Marathon semakin banyak dan semakin berkualitas,” ungkap Dosen Departemen Teknik Mesin ITS tersebut. Hal ini didukung dengan konsep dan regulasi yang digunakan pada KMHE 2017 banyak mengadopsi dari Shell Eco-Marathon.<\/p>\n

KMHE 2017 dibagi menjadi dua kategori kendaraan, yaitu Urban Concept dan Prototype. Kategori Urban Concept merupakan kendaraan roda empat yang mirip dengan mobil pada umumnya dan sesuai untuk kendaraan di jalanan. Sedangkan Prototype lebih kepada kendaraan masa depan dengan desain khusus yang memaksimalkan aspek aerodinamika untuk keperluan lomba.<\/p>\n

Kedua kategori di atas dibagi lagi berdasarkan kelas bahan bakarnya yaitu Internal Combustion Engine, Listrik, serta Hybrid. Dalam perlombaan ini, tim dengan penggunaan energi terbaik akan menjadi juara di setiap kategori kendaraan dan kelas bahan bakar.<\/p>\n

Selain berorientasi pada efisiensi energi, KMHE 2017 turut menyajikan Eco Race dalam serangkaian acaranya. Eco Race adalah kontes mobil yang berorientasi pada kecepatan dengan bahan bakar yang dibatasi untuk jarak tertentu. Eco Race mengadopsi konsep dari Driver\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s World Championship (DWC).<\/p>\n

Fahmi yakin gelaran ini dapat mewadahi kreativitas mahasiswa seluruh Indonesia untuk merancang, membangun, menguji, dan mengkompetisikan mobil hemat energi yang aman dan ramah lingkungan.<\/p>\n
