Dalam G2 ini seluruh civitas akademika ITS terlibat aktif. Salah satunya adalah penanaman 1.500 pohon dan pelepasan berbagai jenis burung.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Kegiatan ini sebagai gebrakan awal program ITS Menuju Eco-campus yang melibatkan seluruh mahasiswa baru ITS yang jumlahnya tidak kurang dari 7.000 orang,&quot; katanya, Kamis (15\/9\/2011).<\/p>\n<p>Uniknya, dalam acara penanaman pohon ini ada aturan yang harus ditaati, terutama bagai mahasiswa. Setiap pohon yang ditanam akan terus dipantau selama enam bulan oleh tiap kelompok yang terdiri dari lima orang mahasiswa. Hal itu untuk menjamin kelangsungan hidup pohon yang ditanam dalam kegiatan G2.<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>Tiap kelompok itu, akan dibekali kartu yang disebut kartu pohon asuh dan mereka harus mencatat setiap pengamatan pohon yang ditanam selama 6 bulan. Jika pohon tersebut mati, maka harus diganti. Namun mahasiswa tersebut harus menjelaskan secara rinci penyebab matinya pohon yang ditanam.<br \/>&quot;Itu yang dinamakan pohon asuh.&nbsp; Tiap-tiap kelompok wajib melaporkan semua yang terjadi atas keberlangsungan hidupnya pohon. Semuanya dicatat dan dipantau terus. Kelompok mahasiswa baru yang mampu menjaga kesehatan dan pertumbuhan pohonnya dengan baik akan mendapatkan penghargaan,&quot; tutupnya.<\/p>\n<p>Acara G2 yang akan dihelat pada 17 September mendatang juga akan dihadiri Wali Kota Surabaya Tri Rismaharini.(rhs)<br \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SURABAYA &#8211; Budaya Gugur Gunung lebih kental dengan adat istiadat Jawa.
