Untuk merayakan keduanya, Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (IKA ITS) Surabaya menggelar kegiatan bersepeda bersama, yang bertajuk ITS Nggowes Kemerdekaan Malam Ramadan.<\/p>\n

Kegiatan ini berbeda dengan sepeda santai lainnya yang biasa dilakukan pada pagi, siang, atau sore hari. Sesuai namanya, kegiatan ini akan dilakukan pada malam hari, yakni mulai pukul 20.30 WIB, seusai buka puasa bersama dengan anak yatim piatu.<\/p>\n

Awalnya, kegiatan ini diperuntukkan bagi keluarga besar ITS yang terdiri dari, dosen, karyawan, mahasiswa, dan civitas akademika. Namun, dalam perkembangannya, kegiatan ini pun terbuka untuk masyarakat umum.<\/p>\n

Menurut Ketua Panitia Nggowes, Ali Yusa, kegiatan ini bertujuan menyemarakkan HUT RI Ke-66 serta mengisi bulan Ramadan. "Secara khusus, kegiatan ini untuk merekatkan tali silahturahmi antar keluarga besar ITS," katanya seperti dilansir dari ITS online, Jumat (12\/8\/2011).<\/p>\n

Acara ini akan menempuh rute sejauh 25 kilometer (km). Peserta akan ke luar dari ITS melalui pintu selatan menuju Margorejo. Kemudian melewati Trapan ke arah Ahmad Yani. Dilanjutkan ke Taman Bungkul dan akhirnya kembali ke ITS.<\/p>\n

Untuk acara ini, panitia optimistis menargetkan sekira 5.00 peserta, mengingat berbagai door prize yang ditawarkan cukup menarik. "Sampai saat ini, target telah tercapai," ujarnya.<\/p>\n
