Dalam ujian itu para peserta harus menggambar suasana pameran di mal dan suasana piala dunia. "Mereka dinilai berdasar gambar yang paling mirip," ungkap Ketua Tim Pengawas UM Desain Sabar SE MSi. Setiap gambar akan dinilai enam dosen despro. Penilaian dilihat berdasar kemampuan gambar tersebut menggambarkan suasana yang diinginkan. <\/p>\n

Sabar menuturkan, saat tes menggambar, para peserta diizinkan mengambil posisi duduk senyaman mungkin. Mereka boleh duduk di lantai atau ndelosor<\/em>. Selama dua jam, para peserta menggambar dengan tekun. Selain tes menggambar, ada tes potensi akademik (TPA) yang terdiri atas pengetahuan dasar bahasa Indonesia, bahasa Inggris, matematika, dan kemampuan spasial. <\/p>\n

Ujian yang diikuti 776 orang dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia tersebut dianggap cukup sulit oleh para peserta. "Tak gampang ujiannya. Yang paling susah adalah saat menggambar," kata Ervika Viona, salah seorang peserta, lulusan SMA Negeri 1 Bangkalan. Dia saat ini masih berstatus mahasiswa Teknik Informatika Universitas Trunojoyo, Bangkalan. <\/p>\n

Gadis yang biasa disapa Vika tersebut tidak puas dengan jurusan yang telanjur dipilih tersebut. Karena itu, dia kini mengikuti UM desain. Dia menyatakan sejak kecil sering menggambar.
