\u00e2\u20ac\u009dBila tingkat ketegangan tanah diketahui, akan dapat ditentukan titik mana saja yang aman untuk pemasangan alat,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d kata Ketua tim, Djaja Laksana, Selasa (7\/7) di Sidoarjo.<\/p>\n

Metode tabung Bernoulli dilakukan dengan memasang dinding baja mengelilingi pusat semburan lumpur. Dengan demikian, semburan lumpur akan naik dan pada ketinggian tertentu berhenti. Semburan lumpur yang terkumpul dan tertahan di dalam tabung diharapkan akan menyumbat semburan berikutnya.<\/p>\n

Djaja sudah beberapa kali memaparkan metode tabung Bernoulli baik kepada Badan Penanggulangan Lumpur Sidoarjo (BPLS) maupun warga. Djaja memperkirakan diperlukan dana Rp 2 triliun untuk menerapkan metode itu.<\/p>\n

Staf Humas BPLS, Akhmad Kusairi, mengatakan, pihaknya hanya menampung usulan. Namun, wewenang sepenuhnya ada pada PT Lapindo Brantas. \u00e2\u20ac\u009dSilakan tim ITS berkoordinasi dengan Lapindo,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d katanya.<\/p>\n

Sebelumnya, upaya penghentian semburan lumpur dilakukan dengan berbagai cara, di antaranya snubbing unit, relief well, dan bola beton.
