Setiap hari, panitia melayani empat sekolah dengan jumlah peserta minimal 80 siswa. Kemarin (21\/5) misalnya, peserta datang dari SDN Mulyorejo I, SMP Yapita, SMPN 35, dan SMPN 29. Para peserta dari masing-masing sekolah menerima materi berbeda, sesuai pilihan masing-masing. "Banyak pilihan materi yang kami tawarkan," jelas Ketua Panitia LCEN M. Radif Jomansyah.<\/p>\n

Pilihan itu termasuk Dreamweaver, PhotoShop, CorelDraw, PowerPoint, pengenalan internet, dan mengetik sepuluh jari bagi siswa SD. Pelatihan tersebut digawangi para mahasiswa Teknik Elektro ITS. Setiap pelatih bertugas menjelaskan apa pun yang ditanyakan peserta sesuai materi yang diberikan.<\/p>\n

Salah seorang pelatih, Putra Pratama, mengungkapkan, peserta tidak terlalu banyak mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar. Namun, kerja ekstrasabar harus dilakukan pelatih. Sebab, pelatih harus menerangkan detail mengenai tahap-tahap penggunaan program. "Diterangkan mulai penggunaan dasar hingga menge-link dan menampilkan secara online," jelasnya.<\/p>\n

Program-program di educenter tersebut termasuk baru di mata siswa. Hal itu diakui Dinda Nadya Putri dari SMPN 35. Siswi yang memilih pelatihan CorelDraw itu mengungkapkan dirinya belum pernah menyentuh program itu. "Tapi, setelah pelatihan, tahu manfaatnya. Sekarang, saya bisa bikin kartu nama sendiri," tegas anggota OSIS tersebut.<\/p>\n

Menurut Radif, educenter memang bertujuan mendekatkan pelajar Surabaya dengan teknologi. Panitia LCEN berharap, dengan program tersebut, makin banyak urusan orang lebih dimudahkan oleh teknologi.<\/p>\n

Sementara itu, meski penjurian LCEN telah rampung, panitia masih menyimpan lebih dulu nama-nama pemenang. Seluruh penemang baru diumumkan besok.
