Sebab, kampus teknik di Keputih ini masuk tiga besar dalam SPMB (Sistem Penerimaan siswa Baru) tahun ini. Nilai SPMB rata-rata mahasiswa baru ITS menduduki peringkat ketiga setelah ITB dan UI.<\/p>\n<p>Tahun lalu, ITS berada di urutan kelima. &quot;Ini menunjukkan kualitas mahasiswa baru ITS makin bermutu,&quot;kata Rektor ITS Dr.Ir.Muh.Nuh DEA di kampus ITS, kemarin. Nilai SPMB rata-rata mahasiswa baru ITS adalah 687,77. sedangkan ITB 768,93 dan UI memiliki nilai rata-rata 754,11. tahun ini ITS menerima sekitar 1.500 mahasiswa baru.<\/p>\n<p>Nuh mengakui ada mahasiswa yang diterima melebihi daya tampung. Kelebihannya sekitar 100 mahasiswa. Menurutnya, ini karena banyak nilai tes yang sama. sehingga untuk yang nilainya sama, dibuat nomor uutan yang sama pula. &quot;Justru kami berusaha fair untuk memberikan kesempatan yang lebih besar kepada masyarakat,&quot;kata Nuh.<\/p>\n<p>Kalau peringkat ITS naik, sebaiknya rangking Unair melorot. PTN yang disorot gara-gara menggelar jalur khusus dengan biaya puluhan juta ini, perngkatnya secara nasional jeblok. Jika sebelumnya Unair berada di peringkat ketiga, tahun ini anjlok di peringkat kelima.<\/p>\n<p>sementara itu pengumuman SPMB dilaksanakan secara serentak besok pagi. Peserta bisa mendapatkan pengumuman di tempat pendaftaran SPMB, internet dan media massa. Termasuk Jawa Pos, besok juga akan menerbitkan pengumuman SPMB.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut humas SPMB Pulok(Panitia Ujian Lokal) surabaya, Duta Nurdibyandaru, pengumuman SPMB bisa diakses di internet sejak senin pukul 00.00 WIB. &quot;Peserta cukup memasukkan nomor ujian dan akan terlihat hasilnya,&quot;kata Duta.
