Begitu tahu namanya mengungguli semua calon rektor ITS, Dr Ir Mohammad Nuh DEA, tak mampu menyembunyikan kegembiraannya. Senyumnya menyiratkan kebanggaan. <\/p>\n

Bahkan M Nuh melontar visi dan misinya membangun ITS masa depan. Katanya, dari segi manajemen, ditawarkan yang accountability. "Artinya, manajemen yang bisa dipertanggungjawabkan baik ke dalam maupun keluar," tegas M Nuh, Senin (14\/10). <\/p>\n

Kedua, manajemen partisipatory. Semua pihak dilibatkan dalam membuat semua kebijakan. Selain itu ada empat langka yang harus segera ditangani ITS, menjadikan ITS sebagai pusat pengembangan teknologi, ITS jadi lembaga pencerah masyarakat (maksudnya ITS menemukan teknologi baru yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat luas), ITS jadi penjaga nilai-nilai moral dan etik. <\/p>\n

"Meskipun kami dari perguruan tinggi umum, masalah moral harus tetap dijunjung tinggi," tandas Dr Nuh. Selain itu, ITS harus bisa menjawab persoalan-persoalan kekinian yang dihadapi bangsa, seperti lemahnya SDM dan teknologi. <\/p>\n

Menurut Nuh, gagasan-gagasan maupun ide-ide sudah dilontarkan kalangan akademisi. Namun yang paling penting bagaimana merealisasikannya. Menghadapi era otonomi kampus, ITS harus bersiap diri, diantaranya, harus ada penguatan. <\/p>\n

"Penguatan maksudnya selain SDM, penguatan dana. Kan, dana bisa diperoleh dari berbagai macam acara. Seperti membuat unit bisnis, koperasi atau SPBU," jelasnya. <\/p>\n

Diuraikan, mahasiswa ITS antara 16.000-17.000 orang. Yang pakai motor maupun mobil banyak, kalau di kampus disediakan SPBU bisa lebih bagus. (far\/tof)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
