Sedangkan kompetisi yang diikuti Yulia adalah IPA Convention and Exhibition ke-39 pada 20-22 Mei lalu.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Bertempat di Jakarta Convention Center The 39th IPA Convention Center mengusung tema <em>Working Together to Accelerate Solutions in Anticipating Indonesia\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Energy Crisis<\/em>. Yulia dan Ghazali turut berpartisipasi dalam kompetisi karya ilmiah dalam acara tersebut. Dalam sub acara yakni <em>technical session<\/em>, 28 makalah terpilih termasuk karya mereka dipresentasikan dalam bentuk lisan dan poster.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Mengangkat judul <em>Evaluation of Seismic Exploration in Sub-Volcanic Reservoir Area by Synthetic Seismic Modeling paper<\/em> yang mereka tulis dipublikasikan dalam bentuk poster selama tiga hari pada acara tersebut. &quot;Tiga hari itu juga proses penilaian oleh juri dan kami diwajibkan hadir untuk mempresentasikan poster kami,&quot; jelas Yulia.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Mengenai paper yang mereka buat, Yulia menjelaskan bahwa metode seismik adalah salah satu tahapan eksplorasi migas di bidang geofisika yang efektif untuk melihat gambaran struktur bumi dan geometri <em>sub-surface<\/em> bumi. Hal tersebut dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan prinsip penjalaran gelombang. Dalam banyak kasus, gambaran ini sangat buruk bila mengahadapi reservoir migas yang ada di bawah batuan vulkanik. &quot;Padahal potensi migas Indonesia ada di bawah batuan vulkanik,&quot; ungkap Yulia.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Menurut Yulia kasus tersebut merupakan tantangan bagi banyak industri migas terutama di bagian eksplorasi karena dibutuhkan teknologi terbaru dan kombinasi beberapa ilmu. &quot;Metode yang kami gunakan dalam paper ini adalah <em>forward modelling,<\/em>&quot; tutur mahasiswi asal Cilegon tersebut. Metodenya yakni dengan membuat sebuah desain akusisi seismik buatan di <em>software<\/em> sehingga menghasilkan gambaran yang mendekati desain akusisi di lapangan.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Hasil evaluasi dari gambar seismik ini yakni struktur lapisan <em>subsurface<\/em> bumi masih buruk di bagian reservoar yang tertutup batuan vulkanik dan terlihat baik dibagian yang tidak tertutupi batuan vulkanik. Sehingga Yulia dan tim merekomendasikan teknologi terbaru saat akusisi di lapangan, <em>advanced processing seismic<\/em>, dan kombinasi metode geofisika lainnya sebagai penelitian selanjutnya.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&quot;Banyak perusahaan ataupun perusahan pelayanan<em> <\/em>migas yang memberi masukan dan apresiasi untuk poster penelitian kami,&quot; kenang Yulia. Pasalnya jika kasus<em> sub-volcanic reservoir<\/em> ini terselesaikan, maka akan lebih banyak potensi migas yang tereksplorasi dengan harapan membantu Indonesia untuk menghadapi krisis energinya. Pun banyak perusahaan yang menawarkan untuk pengolahan datanya terkait kasus <em>sub-volcanic reservoir<\/em> tersebut.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Di akhir, Yulia berpesan pada mahasiswa ITS. Menurutnya banyak forum publikasi ilmiah yang dapat menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai dunia profesional kerja. &quot;Pilihan untuk mengambil atau tidak kesempatan tersebut sepenuhnya berada di tangan kita,&quot; imbuhnya.
