Salah satunya adalah masalah perubahan iklim. Penelitian tersebut membutuhkan kerja sama dengan pihak akademisi, dalam hal ini mereka mendorong UMT dan ITS untuk bekerja sama,&quot; terang Rektor ITS, Prof Ir Joni Hermana MSc ES PhD.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Meski demikian, Joni menekankan bahwa proposal ini bisa saja mencakup hal yang lebih luas daripada perubahan iklim. &quot;Bisa jadi akan ada program pertukaran peneliti, pelajar, dan program program lain sebagai bagian dari proyek. Tetapi inti utamanya adalah mengkaji sebuah masalah dengan metode ilmiah,&quot; terang Joni.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Joni berharap kerja sama ini akan menjadi semacam proyek percobaan yang berhasil diimplementasikan, sehingga ITS turut berperan dalam membantu pemerintah, bukan hanya Indonesia, namun juga Asia.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Senada dengan Joni, Dekan Teknik Kelautan UMT Prof Ahmad Bin Jusoh berharap hubungan kerja sama antara ITS dengan UMT akan semakin erat. &quot;Dengan adanya kerja sama ini kami berharap mendapatkan bimbingan dan dukungan dari ITS, misalnya dengan mengadakan pertukaran tenaga pelajar maupun mahasiswa,&quot; terangnya.
