Kepala Departemen Teknik Sistem Perkapalan, Dr.Eng. M. Badrus Zaman, MT mengatakan, program DD master ini merupakan upaya membawa Siskal ITS ke kancah internasional. "Langkah ini merupakan upaya membuka peluang meningkatkan kerjasama riset, meningkatkan publikasi serta kerjasama," tuturnya. Kerjasama ini bahkan dengan beberapa universitas di negara-negara lain di benua Eropa dan belahan dunia lainnya. <\/p>\n

Program ini telah disepakati bersama di Jerman dengan Rektor Wismar University saat kunjungan Rektor ITS dengan tim manajemen Departemen Teknik Sistem Perkapalan ITS ke Jerman, Juli 2017 lalu.<\/div>\n

Program DD master dengan gelar Master of Marine Engineering  (M.Eng) ini, ujar Badrus, berdurasi minimal empat semester. Dua semester di Indonesia (semester 1 dan 3), satu semester di Jerman (semester 2) dan satu semester akhir (semester 4) opsional bisa dilaksanakan di Indonesia atau Jerman. <\/div>\n
Diungkapkan Badrus, biaya Sumbangan Pembinaan Pendidikan (SPP) atau tuition fee<\/em> untuk program DD master ini ditetapkan sebesar Rp 25 juta per semester. Syarat menjadi mahasiswa adalah harus sudah bergelar S1 engineering atau teknik segala jurusan dan memiliki TOEFL 490. <\/p>\n

Kuliah akan dimulai awal September 2017 di Kampus ITS Surabaya. "Nantinya akan diberikan matrikulasi bagi mereka yang lulusan S1 teknik di luar Teknik Sistem Perkapalan," ujar pria lulusan program doktor Kobe University, Jepang tersebut.<\/p><\/div>\n

Rektor ITS Prof Ir Joni Hermana MScES PhD berharap agar program ini bisa berjalan lancar dan sukses sesuai dengan cita-cita yang diharapkan. Bahkan program ini merupakan upaya mendukung berjalannya misi ITS menuju World Class University (WCU).<\/div>\n

Pendaftaran dan pengiriman persyaratan berlaku hingga akhir Agustus 2017 ini.
