Alat ini dilengkapi dengan sensor suhu dan kelembaban sebagai komponen sistem otomasi. Kelima mahasiswa penggagas ide tersebut yakni Achmad Syarif Hidayat, Akhmad Ibnu Hija, Indra Yogi Prayuga, Sapto Wahyu Sudrajat, dan Windy Rizqia Arsy berasal dari Departemen Teknik Fisika.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Selama ini petani di Indonesia menggunakan metode pengeringan secara konvensional dengan kendala klim. Telah banyak muncul solusi dari permasalahan iklim seperti pembakaran biasa, <em>oven<\/em>, maupun yang bersistem otomasi canggih. &quot;Namun inipun masih tidak hemat energi,&quot; ujar Achmad Syarif H, ketua tim.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Dalam pengoperasiannya, pengaturan suhu dan kelembaman antarjenis tanaman tidak sama. Karena itu alat diatur secara khusus untuk jenis tanaman tertentu. Seperti, cabai hanya boleh dipanaskan pada suhu 60 derajat celcius. Data tersebut telah tersimpan pada <em>smartphone<\/em> yang telah tehubung dengan <em>bluetooth<\/em>. Dari aplikasi yang telah disediakan, pengguna cukup mengoperasikan sesuai jenis tanaman dan suhu yang diinginkan.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Pengering konvensional membutuhkan waktu lima hingga tujuh hari. Sedangkan H-FLORY mampu mengeringkan hingga delapan kilogram produk dalam waktu 12 jam. Dikatakan hemat energi, karena alat ini hanya memerlukan 1,5 kilogram gas untuk menyuplai api. &quot;Alat kami dilengkapi dengan <em>control box <\/em>yang dapat memonitor suhu dan kelembaban didalamnya,&quot; ungkap Achmad.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Achmad menambahkan, alat tersebut dapat mengalirkan panas secara merata meski memiliki bentuk rak bersusun dengan dimensi 50x50x50 cm. &quot;Desain tersebut dapat memberikan kualitas yang sama pada semua tingkatan,&quot; pungkasnya pada ITS Online.
