Dikatakan Ali Akbar Navis, ketua acara, Metafore digelar untuk meningkatkan minat generasi muda dalam mempelajari maritim. <\/p>\n<p>Ia percaya sektor maritim beberapa tahun kedepan akan menyediakan peluang besar bagi negara. &quot;Saat itulah mereka memimpin,&quot; ujar mahasiswa asal Nganjuk ini.&nbsp;<\/p><\/div>\n<div>Diakui Ali, dari 46 paper, terdapat sebelas tim yang lolos &nbsp;dan berhak mempresentasikan maketnya didepan para juri. Sementara itu, akan diambil tiga pemenang yang berhak mendapat trofi dan sejumlah uang. &quot;Ada beberapa kriteria penilaian, seperti orisinalitas dan dampak inovasi yang mereka buat,&quot; ujar mahasiswa angkatan 2014 ini.<\/div>\n<div>Ali menjelaskan, ia dan timnya sempat kewalahan dalam publikasi Metafore. &quot;Rata-rata di setiap angkatan hanya ada 50 mahasiswa. Belum lagi kebanyakan mahasiswa berasal dari Jawa Timur, jadi publikasinya masih belum merata ke seluruh Indonesia,&quot; ucapnya. Ia pun berharap pada Metafore selanjutnya dapat menjangkau peserta dari luar Pulau Jawa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Meski masih banyak kendala yang dialami, Ali bersyukur acara dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan bisa dirasakan kebermanfaatannya oleh siswa. &quot;Semoga para peserta bisa meningkatkan semangat mereka lagi dalam mendukung sektor maritim Indonesia dan menambah wawasan mereka lebih dalam lagi setelah mengikuti acara ini,&quot; kata Ali sambil tersenyum.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Metafore 2017 ini pun dimenangkan oleh tim dari SMAN 1 Situbondo dengan KTI berjudul Efisiensi Bongkar Muat Peti Kemas dengan Menggunakan Travelator. Kemudian disusul oleh tim asal SMAN 1 Genteng di posisi kedua dan tim SMAN 1 Kota Tangerang Selatan yang berhasil meraih juara tiga.
