Untuk kecepatan Astramaya Evo sendiri dapat mencapai angka hingga 80 kilometer per jam.<\/p>\n<p>Nama Astramaya sendiri diambil dari bahasa Sansekerta. Astramaya berasal dari dua kata, &#8216;Astra&#8217; yang berarti senjata, dan &#8216;Maya&#8217; yang artinya Ilusi. Jadi, makna Astramaya adalah Senjata Ilusi. Sementara Evo adalah singkatan dari &#8216;Evolution&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>KKCTBN 2016 atau Roboboat 2016, adalah kontes yang diselenggarakan untuk menguji kreativitas mahasiswa dalam mendesain badan kapal, menetapkan prinsip mesin yang cocok dan merancang sistem otomasinya. Sistem penilaian kontes diberikan berdasarkan penguasaan medan atau lintasan yang dilalui oleh kapal. Tahun ini, KKCTBN rencananya akan digelar di Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS) Selasa, (29\/11).<\/p>\n<p>Ada tiga kategori yang diperlombakan dalam kontes ini. Yakni Kapal Kendali Otomatis (<em>Autonomous Surface Vehicle<\/em>\/ASV), Kapal Cepat Listrik dengan Sistem Kendali Jauh (<em>Electric Remote Control<\/em>\/ERC), dan Kapal Cepat Berbahan Bakar dengan Sistem Kendali Jauh (<em>Fuel Engine Remote Control<\/em>\/FERC).<\/p>\n<p>Sementara Barunastra 4 sendiri adalah riset kapal tanpa awak hasil karya mahasiswa ITS. Saat ini, Barunastra terbagi menjadi tiga tim. Yakni Nala V, Hydros, dan Astramaya Evo. Hebatnya, ketiganya akan mewakili masing-masing kategori untuk berlaga dalam kontes tersebut. Nala V di kategori ASV, Hydros di kategori FERC, dan Astramaya Evo di kategori ERC.<\/p>\n<p>Pada kategori ERC ini, kapal didesain untuk menyelesaikan misi dan tantangan dengan lintasan yang telah ditetapkan. Kapal menggunakan baterai sebagai sumber tenaga penggerak dengan bantuan pengendali gerak berupa <em>Remote Control<\/em>.
