Maksudnya ialah mengajak masyarakat dalam dan luar ITS untuk menjunjung tinggi nilai, norma, dan hukum selama ini. &quot;Yang berlandaskan iman, ilmu, dan teknologi yang berperadaban,&quot; tutur Hamzah.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Pembukaan acara itu pun turut diramaiakan oleh Wakil Rektor II, Ir Heppy Kristiyanto MT, yang sekaligus melepas langsung peserta <em>Fun Bike<\/em> tepat pukul 06.00 WIB. Pantauan di lapangan memperlihatkan jumlah peserta sampai menyentuh angka ribuan. Mereka sedianya akan bersepeda mengikuti rute yang telah disiapkan oleh panitia.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Rute yang dimaksud adalah dimulai dari Gedung Robotika ITS menuju Manyar Kertoarjo Indah, Soekarno Hatta, Kenjeran, Kaki Jembatan Suramadu, Jembatan Kenjeran Baru, dan kembali ke ITS. &quot;Dua jembatan yang dilalui itu menjadi kebanggaan ITS dan daya tarik <em>Fun Bike<\/em> ITS tahun ini,&quot; lanjut Hamzah.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Dengan melintasi dua jembatan ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kecintaan masyarakat Surabaya terhadap kotanya. &quot;<em>Fun Bike<\/em> ini dilaksanakan menjelang peringatan Hari Pahlawan, 10 November, agar masyarakat semakin ingat terhadap semangat <em>Arek-arek Suroboyo<\/em>,&quot; tuturnya.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Kemudian, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membiasakan masyarakat agar tidak bergantung pada alat transportasi ber-BBM. Dengan bersepeda pasti akan bebas polusi dan menyehatkan tubuh. Sebenarnya, ITS sudah memulai kampanye itu dengan menyediakan fasilitas sepeda bagi mahasiswa untuk berpindah dari satu departemen ke departemen lainnya. &quot;Jalan khusus untuk pesepeda juga sudah dibangun,&quot; ujar Koordinator<em> fun bike<\/em>, Drs Daryono Budi Utomo MSi.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Disamping itu tujuan lainnya adalah untuk mempersatukan sivitas akademika ITS dengan masyarakat umum. Jumlah ribuan itu menurut Daryono berasal dari beberapa daerah di Surabaya dan Sidoarjo. &quot;Mereka mengaku senang dan gembira. Banyak yang malah berfoto di rute-rute tertentu,&quot; pungkas Daryono.
